I'm in the Irithyll Dungeons (Dark Souls 3) at the mo; the occasional shriek in the game out of nowhere is freaking me out. Jailers are also creepy as fuck.

It's in there already. Also they added something called immersion mode, where there is no gear score and enemies don't have levels.

Which is great because a stealth, tactical shooter with bullet sponge enemies sounds like the drizzling shits.

Just finished all the main Odyssey storylines in AC Odyssey. That story started so slow but god DAMN it became very good and hard to put down. Enjoyed the mythical beast fights, especially Medusa.

Aldrich, Devourer of Gods, is kicking my ass so bad at the moment.

Ghost of Tsushima. Other than a couple gripes (FUCK YOU NO LOCK ON MECHANIC) this game is absolutely incredible.

Love how the combat is very punishing tbh. 2 or 3 strikes and you are down for the count, where they will kick you as you slowly die until someone decides to finish you off.

MGS V: Phantom Pain is so much fun.

MGS gameplay in open world is fun and novel, but the world is mind numbingly boring. Probably the worst sin an open world game can commit.

Rocks rocks and more rocks. Then you unlock a second map which adds pockets of trees and shrubbery to the rocks.

Yeah! Love the rocks! Wish it was just more barren with no designated paths. Wish there were more credits, and "Hideo Kojima" permanently watermarked across the screen.

I cant get off Mario Maker 2. I have so many switch games now including Witcher 3 and BoTW and i have not played much of them because of Mario Maker 2 and Mario Kart deluxe. I havent even touched Mario Odyssey. The only think i've managed to make it through is Mortal Kombat 11, but I havent gotten the DLC. I'm half way through Y's 8, but it's kinda lost me, but i think its about to get good i just cant quite get back to it.


But yah. Mario Maker 2 and Mario Kart atm. sandersplex is my switch name if you want to be friends.

Dancer isn't too bad if I remember right, don't be afraid to hug your dance partner but don't get caught in the lift

Aldrich, however, is bastard man. Still bitterly disappointed that the opening movie led me to believe he was an octopus monster from "the deep". Forever disappointed.

I started Astral Chains and i just finished the tutorial i suppose. I'm loving it atm.

Yeah, can't really go wrong with Platinum Games

I tried Carrion which just hit gamepass. It's a 2d metroidvania style game where you play as a tentacle monster escaping from an underground facility. It uses 16-bit graphics and has a really cool atmosphere.

Movement is kind of crazy and takes a little getting used to. It's very loose, but the idea is to make the controls really feel like you're controlling this amoeba type monster and it succeeds in that regard.

Also I say it's a metroidvania but it's honestly a lot more linear than most other games in the genre. It feels labyrinthian, but it's more like Metroid Fusion for example.

Seems linear at first. You can traverse the entire game after a certain point. If you want to get upgrades, you have to anyway.


Great game, I'm at the last bit and haven't finished it up just yet. Only complaint is when you grow to the "3rd" form, it becomes a bit too big and the controls are wonky AF when trying to do things like hit a switch, or fit into smaller spaces.

I have that downloaded to play when I finish up Ghost. Seemed like a unique twist on the metroidvania genre and I pretty much love any game of that style.

Ya i have all the DMC games ( 2 and DMC:DMC might not be made buy them). The real gem I have is Metal Gear Rising. That game is fantastic. I havent competed it, but i've played it and will complete it. I havent gotten to Bayonetta games yet. Probably gonna grab them on switch. Almost got scammed by my local gamestop trying to grab a used copy. I realized at the last second that the download for Bayonetta 1 might not be there and the manager was like " uhhhh oh ya that ".

Cant stand that place.

Finished Ghost of Tsushima. Incredible. Might be my favorite game ever at this point. Just cleaning up the last couple trophies for the platinum now. Gonna run through Carrion after that and then probably play Ghost again in Kurosawa mode with Japanese vocals for the authentic experience.

I've nearly got the Dancer twice now. In the first phase I run in with my sword and get a shot in before retreating, and repeat; in the second phase I keep my distance and when the opportunity presents itself I shoot the Dancer with my bow.

My favorite is when they try to sell you a used copy of a game and for some insane reason they charge more for the used one than a brand new one.
