I'm sure I've seen these before and that they showed these last year around this time.

The posters of Mantaur, The Brood, Sycho Sid and Chainsaw Charlie all look really familiar to me.

I get the feeling they just uploaded them again and added a new one on the end, with Ambrose in it, to make it look like they're all new.

SANTA MONICA, Calif., and STAMFORD, Conn. – Lionsgate, the premier next-generation global content leader, and WWE Studios announced today the production of “The Condemned 2: Desert Prey,” (working title), which extends the long-standing partnership between the two studios.

Roel Reiné (“Death Race: Inferno," “The Scorpion King 3: Battle for Redemption”) is set to direct with WWE Superstar Randy Orton attached to star. “The Condemned 2” marks Reiné’s and Orton's second film together after the successful release of “12 Rounds 2: Reloaded.” Alan McElroy (“The Marine 4: Moving Target”) wrote the script. The film is scheduled to commence principal photography in New Mexico later this year.

“The Condemned 2” follows a former bounty hunter (Orton) who soon finds himself on the run as part of a newly revamped, high-stakes and deadly Condemned tournament.

“We’re thrilled to be continuing ‘The Condemned’ franchise with Randy, Roel and our terrific partners at Lionsgate,” said Michael Luisi, WWE Studios President.

WWE Studios will leverage its extensive multi-platform reach to promote the film.

“We are excited to be reteaming with WWE on "The Condemned 2," after such a positive experience on the original film,” said Lionsgate Co-Chief Operating Officer and Motion Picture Group President Steve Beeks. “The combination of their brand marketing capabilities, creativity and deep lineup of dynamic onscreen talent result in a powerful partnership.”

WWE Studios and Lionsgate previously collaborated on “The Condemned,” “See No Evil” and “Leprechaun: Origins,” as well the just-released “See No Evil 2.” In 2015, the two studios will release the first two installments of their "Action Six-Pack" series: “Vendetta,” directed by The Soska Sisters (“See No Evil 2”) and starring WWE Superstar Paul “Big Show” Wight, as well as “Lockdown,” directed by Stephen Reynolds (“Tomb Raider Ascension”) and starring WWE Superstar Dean Ambrose.

Bradley Buchanan, SVP of Business Affairs, negotiated the deal on behalf of WWE Studios, and Wendy Jaffe, EVP of Business & Legal Affairs, negotiated the deal on behalf of Lionsgate.

Latest dirtsheet news about Daniel Bryan are not good at all.

WWE currently leaning towards the idea that he might never return as an active in-ring wrestler because of how messed up his elbow is. Even with surgery, they are not confident its going to fix his problems and he would need a drastic rehaul of his in-ring style.

Had an idea, if WWE doesn't hire Adam Pierce as a trainer.

I think Curtis Axel would be perfect in that role.

Mr. Nerfect 10-31-2014 07:08 PM

Curtis Axel is probably helping guys down there right now. He's so great in the ring, but he just lacks that ability to connect with audiences as a bad guy. I would like to see him get a run as a babyface though, just to see if he gets people a bit more into his stuff. He could be a bit like Hardcore Holly, where he gets surprisingly over.

But he seems to be the guy they use when they want to get someone like The Rock or Brock Lesnar polished for a big comeback.

Mr. Nerfect 10-31-2014 07:08 PM

I actually hope it is a bit of a work. Just to get everyone off-guard when he returns and wins the 2015 Royal Rumble.

Damian Rey 10-31-2014 09:35 PM

He ain't winning the rumble. Clear as day that Reigns is the new golden boy and they're gonna feed him Lesnar at Mania. Shame. Not that I have anything against Reigns, but fuck me he's bland. Not just as a character, bbut in the ring as well. All he has right now is the look. Beyond that, he's outclassed by every main event player at the moment. Cena, Rollins, Ambrose and Lesnar are on a different level.

Damian Rey 10-31-2014 09:36 PM

And by "in the ring", I don't mean work rate. I just mean character. Nothing he does stands out to me. He doesn't, imo, have that natural physical charisma. Don't know how else to explain it.

Mr. Nerfect 10-31-2014 09:59 PM

Reigns worked as the strong, silent member of a group. As a lone wolf, he leaves a lot to be desired.

Mr. Nerfect 10-31-2014 10:00 PM

I'd rather see him face Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins in a Triple Threat Match at Mania, with Rollins' title shot on the line. Reigns can win that match, and can then use the contract to get a guaranteed match against then champion, Daniel Bryan. If there is any wrestler that is going to get the best out of Reigns, it is a healthy Daniel Bryan. Reigns loses the first match, and then goes on a mission to get better, and he can win match #2 against Bryan.

Rammsteinmad 10-31-2014 10:50 PM

I'm with Noid on this. Lesnar vs. Reigns just doesn't strike me as an interesting match. Plus, a Wrestlemania match would be an awesome culmination of the whole SHIELD angle. Have a triple threat match and then have the three finally move onto pastures new.

The main event should be Daniel Bryan (if he's healthy) taking on Lesnar.

Damian Rey 11-01-2014 12:35 AM

If not healthy, I'd really love to see Ambrose elevated. He's been absolute money since the breakup, he's over as fuck, and he plays his character so well. If Bryan can't get back, push Ambrose.

Watching SD..did they really take the Yes Chant for Daniel Bryan and turn it into a yes chant for the WWE network? That's low

Emperor Smeat 11-01-2014 04:19 PM

Yeup and with a bad edit job.

Quote:

At the Smackdown taping, the show started off with Big Show in the ring. He got on the microphone and told the fans that Daniel Bryan would need another surgery, and asked them do to the YES chant so that they could film it and send it to Bryan as a "get well soon" type of thing.

As it turns out...this wasn't why they did it. Smackdown opened tonight with Vince's announcement of the WWE Network's "Free November" thing (and they bothered to pipe in cheers and have Eden/Vince do voice overs [with bad echo effects] to make it sound like it actually happened at the show) and then they showed the crowd doing the YES chants (with the video of Vince edited onto the titantron).

Basically, WWE used Bryan and his injury to get the crowd to cheer and chant so that they could just use it to make it look like they were reacting to Vince's announcement about the Network.

True, but I'm still not feeling it. I can't see Reigns being the guy that seems most ready, and I could see his long-term relationships with crowds being damaged by such a strong push too early.

Ambrose isn't ready yet either, in my opinion. Daniel Bryan would have been fine, and I think Punk would be a fantastic choice if he were still on the roster. Cesaro could have been ready if he were pushed properly coming out of WrestleMania, but that's entirely moot now.

Dare I say that a babyface Orton might be the best choice right now, if Bryan doesn't get healthy in time.

3rd Place:

2nd Place:

1st Place and winner of the "best" WWE costume goes to....

Mr. Nerfect 11-01-2014 09:40 PM

In addition to Team Cena vs. Team Authority, I'm also hoping that we get an NXT Showcase Elimination Match, as well as something highlighting the ladies. Nikki Bella challenging AJ Lee for the Divas Title, with it being Brie Bella's last night of service to Nikki, seems like a sensible match for the show, but Paige is having her issues with Alicia Fox. Do a Paige Turners vs. Fox Trotters match at the show.

Paige chooses Summer Rae, Layla, Cameron and Sasha Banks for her team. Banks seems like an odd pick, but I do like the idea of NXT getting some attention at the show. Becky Lynch's character would suit Paige's side better, but I think Banks will be in line for a Women's Title shot against Charlotte, who would round out Alicia Fox's team. There's also the Banks/Summer Rae history to ignore if you have Banks on the heel side.

Fox gets Natalya, Naomi and Emma for her team, and then brings up the NXT Women's Champion. Introducing one new female character on each side isn't the worst thing the WWE could do.

The guy dressed as stardust looks like a rejected villain from the power rangers.

Ambrose could sell injuries from Hell in a Cell to put Wyatt over without losing too much steam himself, I guess.

Damian Rey 11-02-2014 03:47 PM

DB didn't lose steam losing too Wyatt. And clean, might I add. No reason Ambrose couldn't do the same.

Wrong year bro. He travels to 2015.

Wow, forgot Zack Ryder existed. :(

Whatever came of his latest show? I remember he was getting serious and then disappeared.

I think he suspended it cause it was the road to WrestleMania. Right after WrestleMania is when they cut dead weight usually. So, he kept his head down.

Was revived twice as first a mini-series to show he wanted to restart his career and later as a gag segment for the JBL <s>& Cole</s> show.

So are all of you in the UK getting the network?

XL 11-03-2014 01:19 PM

I tried the other day. No app available and the link on WWE.com tells me I can watch Survivor Series on Sky.
