Fleet Foxes - Helplessness Blues - Apparently the quality of this leak isn't the best but I think I like this better than their debut. I don't know, sounds like a nice album to listen to on a deck in the summer with my white friends. Then maybe my dad will come out to barbeque and be like "Who is this?" then I'll tell him, and he'll act interested and say they sound pretty good but he will never make any attempt to listen to them again. 9/10

Way less poppy and immediately catchy than their first album. It's got a ton of great songs, but there are a few duds imo (like Blue Spotted Tail...lyrics just seem kind of elementary)

Panda Bear - Tomboy: 9.5/10

Only listened to this once and loved it, so I need to give it a few more goes before giving a final verdict

Sarah Jarosz - Song up in her Head 8/10

To say this was her debut album, the supporting cast on this album is ridiculous:
Chris Thile, Jerry Douglas, Abigail Washburn, Sam Bush; just to name a few. It's like a who's who of american acoustic music.

Air Waves - Dungeon Dots 8/10
The Sea and Cake - Moonlight Butterfly 7/10

Wiz Khalifa - Rolling Papers: 8/10 (scale is adjusted to the genre...which is weed rap)

Great beer pong music, nothing more really.

Liking this even more now. The whole album seems to deal with Robin Pecknold's insecurities and neuroses leading to the destruction of his relationship. Now he's at this point in his life where he doesn't know what to strive for, how to deal with his own issues or how to balance his need for musical perfection and a healthy social life.

At first all of the existential musing on the album kind of got to me, but it really all fits together amazingly well. The Shrine/An Argument is the best track they've ever released, and the album easily outshines Fleet Foxes. 10/10

New favorite tracks are Montezuma and The Shrine/An Argument, just btw

Not a big R&B fan but I like a lot of this mixtape. Nice fusion between dubstep, traditional R&B, and a bit of 90's throwback (you can hear a bit of TLC and Aaliyah throughout).

Between The Buried & Me - The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues

I guess it's technically an EP and not an album, but it's three tracks clock in at 30 mins long so it's about as long as much albums. Besides that it's fantastic, they show a lot of musical skill with sharp riff changes and the like as they did on The Great Misdirect, and they can switch it up from brutal metal to clean and light in an instant.

Megadeth - Countdown to extinction 8/10

Tyler, The Creator - Goblin: 8.8/10

Dark "as shit", reminds me a lot of early Eminem. But it's awesome, and is completely different from anything else out there. It's got a ton of good lines and there are only a couple of misses. Not feeling the instrumental much, but its an "interesting addition" within the context of the album.

Japanese Cartoon - In The Jaws Of The Lord of Death 4/10

Dunno, it is sort of interesting but mostly annoying. Lupe Fiasco's post-punk band where he sings with a British accent. Kind of crappy.

Grouper - Dragging a Dead Deer Up A Hill 9/10

Slept on this for way too long. Everything she has ever done is incredible.

Tyler The Creator - Goblin 7/10

He's interesting. His flow is good. His music is different. But the songs are wayyyyy too fucking long and as I've said, he's too much sometimes (which he addresses in the first track). And he complains about people calling him out on it and saying he's just doing his deal, when he's obviously just trying to get attention/buzz with some shit so whatever. He's not the best OFWGKTA member but this is worth a listen. Gets kind of abrasive at times.

Alison Krauss - Too late to cry 7/10

Decent record, especially as she was in her mid-teens when she recorded it. She has since gone on to do far better records.

Emmylou Harris - Elite Hotel 8/10

I'm split between giving it a 6 or a 7. I liked it, but I wasn't wowed by the album, and I don't feel compelled to go back to it and listen to the record regularly. I don't really see the point of two drummers either. I'll give it another spin soon.
