You know something, I have wondered since there can be 18 players on the same game (Ground War)

Why didnt they but a team vs team vs team match out there 6 players to a side, who else would have liked this?

Wouldn't work for every game mode but an option for private matches would be fine for whoever wants it.

Has anyone here come across that javelin glitch?

Every other topic is on the message boards is about the Javelin glitch, but I've yet to see it.

I know I once blew myself up with a Javelin, but that was an unfortunate accident. :(

You guys are lucky then. Every team I ran across last night was using it. One team actually used nothing bu the Javelin glitch. Funny thing was it was a game of Domination, so we won easily :-\

Actually I only really play TDM, and I've heard it gets used more often in objective games.

I've seen one guy using it in Wasteland, it didn't really seem to do him any good at all. He kept getting sniped and exploding, made it all seem very dramatic but he got about two kills and died about 20 times. Cock.

So thats what the fuck happened the other night.

I put 3 shotgun shells into some dudes back (he has a launcher I remember) and all of a sudden he explodes.

Reports are while Microsoft is banning people for the glitch until IW comes out with a patch, supposedly Sony won't be doing the same and will just wait for the patch from IW.

Makes some sense since on XBL your angering paid online customers while on PSN you can just make a new account if the previous one got banned.

No Sony doesn't want to get involved at all, they could IP or console ban similar to what Microsoft does but they are doing nothing until IW gets a patch ready.

The dude in this one is just unbelievable. Seeing that kid do those amazing throws persuaded me to try the throwing knife out. Not that hard to get someone camping from any distance, but add motion into the mix and I fail horribly.

I've gotten pretty amazing with Semtex, perhaps its time to give the knives a try

What does everyone load out for their main weapon set up?

M16 w/ Grenade Launcher & Holographic, Bling Pro, Stopping Power Pro, Last Stand Pro and Model 1887 w/ Akimbo and FMJ as the secondary. Prolly gonna change the M16, since all I need is headshots on it, to the AK or finish up the attachments for the Scar mastery.

Secondary: Striker w/ FMJ (Getting campers throw walls)
Equipment: Frag and 2x Stun

I think Bling gets a lot more love. I'm rarely alive along enough for running out of ammo to be an issue. :(

Just pick up another gun if you run out of ammo.

Finally got my ACR Mastery. Fuck FMJ.

I'm level 57 and still don't have any masteries. Been using new weapons as I unlock them.

My thoughts exactly. Took forever to get the M16 mastery done.

I'm 64. Only got it because I put in a concerted effort to do it.

Been 70 for a few days. Been debating on prestige or not.

For the way I play I use stuns, most maps I will try to stay near someone and if I see two people coming at me and I know Im fucked, I will toss a stun and hope my teammate can nail them both before they turn and shoot him.

I dont have a single weapon with bling on it, though I probably should.

That is an excellent perk, especially with the P90.

I have FMJ on a P90 and run and gun and reloading quickly is essential.

Some cunt did that last night, reported the fucker he went 56-8 in Rust.

Get a bud and do cage match and just take turns shooting each other through a wall, otherwise its fucking hellish.

I wasn't laughing at an ineffectiveness, it just seems like a comedic maneuver. Like hitting somebody with a grenade and killing them, not with the blast but the toss. I laugh not because it works, it's just fuckin funny.

What does getting mastery of a gun do? Any benefits besides experience?

I love when I see an enemy sniper scoped in with a tactical insertion right behind him. Guaranteed 2 kills.

And unless they radically changed the AK, I found it one of the best rifles in COD4. Yeah it's got serious kick, but it's almost completely vertical. Just aim low, and fire in bursts instead of full auto. F2000 has the worst recoil I've seen yet in this game, but it's manageable. It's a pretty nice mid-range rifle.

I love tactical insertion for getting back at campers.

It looks rather funny I agree, also some camper the other night got me like 3 times, I circled him, beaned him in the head with a stun and then hit him with a frag and ran away :)

I usually will switch out for it on some maps, then forget to change it back and later on Highrise I go to lob a grenade and I get a goddamn flare :lol:

AK in COD4 was rather good, it seemed to kick alot, but it actually was pretty accurate. Good way to test a gun is to aim at a wall (In practice map) and unload the entire clip to see how it sways and jumps

Finally unlocked the 1887 today. So incredibly fun, akimbo or not. Incredibly overpowered though.

I'm going to abandon team modes for a while - I've been having a lot more fun and success playing Free For All. Even managed to finally get a decent killstreak - 7 kills, I'm so proud. :(

Been using nothing but Akimbo Magnums recently. It's a lot of fun. Some of my regulars get pissed that I use them but I don't care.

Either only the real bad players play in Free For All, or I'm not as rubbish as I thought I was. Finally starting to get decent streaks and win some matches.

Feel like you get much more space to try out and enjoy all the different weapon types, whereas it feels like I spend most of my time in team games getting gunned down.

The heartbeat sensor is stupid. I do not think that exists in real life.

I prefer to think of it as an Aliens style motion sensor anyway. Which also doesn't exist. But get over it either way, it's a game.

lol when playing Hardcore modes with the Heartbeat sensor and Ninja perk, everybody else is using them too so they cancel each other out.

I got the Ninja perk. Did something awesome yesterday: I put on Lightweight and the other perk that makes you move faster, also with Ninja, then I ran behind someone, knifed and killed him. Then I continued to run and saw 3 guys all right in front of me. I knifed one of the guys, then ran over to the other knifed him, then knifed the last guy then took off running without being seen.

It was so cool. I'm proud of myself. I also got killed by one an air package landing right on top of me. Epic.

I unlocked the last set of challenges and there's one where you have to get 3 knife kills in a row without dying so I'm gonna try that.

It's easy if you use the set up I listed earlier in the thread with the tactical knife, did it my first game I had that set up.

I did. I tricked my sister into doing it when she beat it, response was quite amusing.

Well I just unlocked the Desert Eagle but haven't tried it yet. Can you get the tactical knife for it?

All the normal pistols I believe.

Deagle was a disappointment for me here. It's got far too much recoil, pretty much outclassed by the Magnum. I wanted to get Tac Knife for it, but I'm sticking with the Mag.

Update for the came out today for the 360 - the Javelin glitch is now seemingly gone, along with some others.

Good news: The thing where I randomly get droppped from the game is gone now. :wave:

I got the mastery done for my RPD earlier, and unlocked the extended clip for it. Thing is lovely as one clip holds 200 hundred bullets. So no more of that silly having to reload every minute or so. Using that with 2 claymores (thanks to scavenger) and holding down a bunker against the enemy is pretty awesome.

Also going through the campaign on veteran, and really just breezing through it. Was expecting to just get mauled on every mission, but none of them have been really hard thus far. Even burger town was pretty simple which is weird as on my first playthrough on regular I got my ass handed to me repeatedly by that mission.

I'm doing it on veteran but I know I'll never be able to do the mission where you have to defend the computer as it is downloading something.
