Go Kings

Nice that warriors got a championship.
Lebron is pretty incredible though. |
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">The real question now is “who gets to celebrate with the salad?” (via <a href="https://twitter.com/ESPNNBA">@espnnba</a>): <a href="http://t.co/NNoLilUTHm">http://t.co/NNoLilUTHm</a> <a href="http://t.co/SU9a0uS69t">pic.twitter.com/SU9a0uS69t</a></p>— SB Nation (@SBNation) <a href="https://twitter.com/SBNation/status/611025126486708225">June 17, 2015</a></blockquote>

AI GOT THE MVP WOOOOOOO! That is awesome.
Finals MVP voting ended up going 7-4 in favor of Iggy. Lebron took the other 4 votes.
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CHrMSoAWIAAsgoF.jpg |
<font color=goldenrod>Iggy was the right call. LeBron was absolutely fucking incredible in this series, but giving the MVP to a player on the losing team just feels wrong.</font>
Imagine if KLove and Kyrie weren't hurt. They would have won each game by 20+
I'm not trying to sound like Skip Bayless...
Lebron was a disappointment last night. He threw a lot of careless passes, and waited too long to become aggressive offensely. Also I thought his defense was poor. |
Fuck Skip Bayless
2015 Finals managed to be the most watched finals since 1998 (Jordan's last Finals) and 2001 (previous post-Jordan era highest record).
In terms of overall numbers, Jordan is still the king when it comes to viewers: Quote:
Wonder who will take a chance on the Aussie guy even though he was kinda of a one (or two) game wonder.
He will be with the Cavs next year. He won't get a big contract because Steph has 2 bad nights. If he would have shut Steph down for almost every game then it would be a different story.
All this Laker talk about trades for Cousins, LaMarcus Aldridge signings, and #2 draft picks have my brain fried.
Honestly hope the Lakers stand still and not trade their youth for Cousins. They made sure to make the right moves for cap space, so use it AND keep the young guns. |
Kings owner considering firing George Karl if he keeps pushing for trading away Demarcus Cousins.
Draft Cameron Payne please Indiana.
Why does Karl hate every star he has?
Lakers fans always feel entitled to every single superstar in the NBA. Leave Boogieman alone. He's our premadonna pain in the ass, draft your own.
Damn, looks like Aldridge is on his way out of Portland. They traded Nicolas Batum to Charlotte for Gerald Henderson and some dude named Vonlen. Batum was one of my favorite players and could really shoot it. Picking 23 tonight I think so hope they can get someone good. Would like to see Harrell go there but I don't know if that will happen.
Fuck the Lakers
<font color=goldenrod>lol all of that tanking for Porzingis. gonna bust.</font>
 at the booing for the Knicks pick.
Supposedly the reason the Lakers got cold feet on drafting Okafur was because they didn't think he would have a Hall of Fame like career with the team. |
Knicks taking Porzingis is silly, why not take Mudiay.
Hate seeing international players go I. The top 5 most wait a year before even coming over seas. This is why the East is so bad, horrible drafting.
BUT, BUT, HE'S THE LATVIAN ASSASSIN!
Nah seriously. I was in the boat where they should have just traded the pick and got some good parts. Build for *cough Carmelo cough* the future. |
Jazz took Trey Lyles. Thankfully this draft sucks because this pick makes zero sense.
Tim Hardaway Jr. was a alright player. Why did they dump him?
Like the Knicks getting Grant but giving up Hardaway Jr. is a head scratcher. Feel like his production would be better than Grants. Atlanta got better though.

Probably a strong sign LaMarcus Aldridge is gone from Portland with the Lakers as the big favorite to nab him. |
Yea I hate that, would like to see him stay but with all the movement they are making it doesn't look likely. Portland going to have a whole new team this year almost. Batum leaving hurts them alot I believe.

so sick of Carmelo Anthony

Why is Lebron opting out? He's not leaving the Cavs. No way, right? Is this another power play to get Blatt fired (and hire Thibs)?
I figure he stays for less money but it'd be funny if he goes after one year
He resigns for a tad bit extra money with a opt out next year. Then after that he will sign a bigger contract due to the new cap going into place.
So after he opts out next year he will sign a huge max contract with the Cavs for 5 years or whatever it is.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-cards="hidden" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">BREAKING: Dwyane Wade decides to opt out of contract w/ Heat and become a free agent. <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> Was speculated a while ago that he'd probably bolt to Cleveland if he actually opted out or consider them as his first choice. All depends on what Cleveland does and how much of a tax hit they want for next season. Barely have any cap space and just to sign back most of their Finals team would get them close to the luxury tax and cap records. |
Big names opting out. Phil Jackson can redeem himself if he lands a star player.
If I was a big time star I would avoid NY like the plague.
I hope Wade does not come to NY with his 55 games a year ass,,, Carmelo Anthony and Dwyane Wade doesn't seem like a winning combo..........
Wade and Melody would make Lebron jealous, and maybe 2016 he joins them.
Melody Lol Melo. Damn autocorrect.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-cards="hidden" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Anthony Davis has agreed to a 5-year, $145 million maximum extension with the Pelicans: <a href="http://t.co/U156QIZdpY">http://t.co/U156QIZdpY</a> <a href="http://t.co/AOtmyXMXRE">pic.twitter.com/AOtmyXMXRE</a></p>— SB Nation (@SBNation) <a href="https://twitter.com/SBNation/status/616095827212132352">July 1, 2015</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> Final year is optional and in terms of cap space, he just ate up almost a third of the Hornets cap for next season ($89 million). |
Blazers sign Al Farouq-Aminu 4 years $30 million.
Some NBA free agency stuff:
* Kevin Love staying in Cleveland after signing a 5 year, $100 million deal. * Lakers rumored to be out of the LaMarcus Aldridge sweeps with the Suns and Spurs as the top favorites. Suns recently resigned Tyson Chandler with the idea to help persuade Aldridge to sign with them. * Warriors and Draymond Green broke off talks with the big issue being the large gap between what the Warriors are offering and what Green wants in a new deal. * Paul Millsap staying with the Hawks after signing a new 3 year, $59 million deal. * Celtics signed Amir Johnson to a 2 year, $24 million deal. |
Really dislike how much the Lakers sell Hollywood more than basketball when it comes to these pitches. Dont fucking bring TV execs to your negotiating table...matter of fact, leave everyone except the GM and head of bball ops.
Awesome Sixers trade.
Bulls got Butler locked in for awhile. Really hope he continues to improve but I have a bad feeling he will degrees next year.
I bet my Jazz sign Lebron James. I just have a feeling this is the year.
<font color=goldenrod>Knicks fucking things up as always.</font>
Rondo 1 year deal with Sacramento. Getting a solid squad together.
Spurs won the LaMarcus Aldridge sweeps with the deal in the 4 year, $80+ million range. Also helped swayed coach Popovich to stay for the rest of his current contract.
Quote:
Lol. Lakers.
Wow, big get by the Spurs.
Spurs are amazing. The transition from Robinson was excellent and now the transition from Duncan seems to be happening with ease.
Blazers fired their assistant coach for possibly costing the team a chance to resign LaMarcus Aldridge. Implied Blazers weren't going to bother with giving him a new deal which could have swayed how Aldridge went with his free agency talks.
http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/13...ridge-comments |
Its the right decision, hope Meyers Leonard steps up next year.
David West to the Spurs, apparently.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-cards="hidden" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">THIS JUST IN: Celtics trade Gerald Wallace for David Lee. <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> Someone was actually that dumb to trade for Wallace. |
Golden State was letting David Lee basically go because he was coming off the bench. Seems like Golden State was acting in good faith to help Lee out.
Yea he was making the most money on the team last year and set on the bench most the time. Wallace is pretty old and more suitable for the role of coming off the bench. Lee in Boston is a good fit I believe.
<font color=goldenrod>The 2016 NBA Finals are 100% going to be the Spurs vs. the Cavs according to ESPN. May as well cancel everything else before that, then.</font>
Really sucks how weak the East is. Hope the Wizards land Durant next season. For the past 4 years it has been Heat/Cavs and below them Bulls/Indy and then a bunch of scrubs.
Jazz resigned Joe Ingles
Suck it Spurs! |
Looks like Jordan will be heading back to LA. Disliked Paul and Griffin for being cry babies (after the game. Everyone complains in game) about calls not going their way. Now Jordan is reneging on a deal and not even picking up or calling Cuban to tell him.
Cavs and Lebron agree to a new 2 year, $46.9 million deal with the 2nd year as an option just like his old contract. Also expected to opt out against after next season for another max contract deal.
Probably going to do that every year from now on to get the bigger pay days and go to whoever is the top East team at the time for the easy paths to the Finals. |
Deron Williams took a buyout from Brooklyn and went to the Mavericks.
All that money for a new stadium, relocation, signing/acquiring big name free agents, etc. And it's gotten the Nets nothing. |
Jazz were able to convince 7"2 Tibor Pleiss to come over from Spain.
Pleiss Gobert Favors. There may be some casualties next season. Good lord. |
The oldest player on the Jazz is Trevor Booker at age 27 years old. I can't remember the last time I've been so excited for the season to start.
The Kings are going to make the playoffs.
Yes, I realize that sounds obnoxious.
Herd that the Cavs and Lakers might be worken on a deal for Kobe Bryant. Lakers need to rebuild while the Cavs window to win is now. Kobe on the Cavs could help put em over the top against a team like Golden State. Cavs are great the Warriors exposed them in the finals.
Starting to get the feeling StuartFinnigan might be Clerk
Idk if it was Clerk, he wouldn't have given credit to GS Warriors, but the Kobe to The Cavs talk does sound Clerkish. He spelled Cavs right though so probably not Clerk.
Where did Clerk go? Did he get sucked into the Darkness Forum by himself?
Dante Exum tore his ACL. God fucking damn it.
Suck off nerds clerks back baby hahahaha the CZVS won't lose this year

Dwayne wade in talks with coming to the CVZS
Starting lineup: PG Kyrie Irving SG Dwayne Wade SF Lebron James PF Kevin Live C Anderson Carajeo Best starting 5 ever all future hall of famers plus the best pg and sf ever |
Anderson Varejão in the hall of fame? The dude has never played a full season and has avregas about 8 pts and 8 rebounds a game. He might make the CAVS hall of fame for playing there his entire career but not "the" hall of fame.

Would anybody be interested in doing a TPWW NBA fantasy league? Haven't seen one since I joined TPWW so if enough people are interested I'll create one. Season starts on the 27th.

Odom is improving.

True, well if enough people are interested I'm down.

Might just create the league and post it just to see if enough people fill it out.

Damn Flip Saunders is dead. He was 60. RIP.
Sucks. Sounded fine and probably was gonna beat it when he stepped away like a month ago.
And that team was about to get good. Garnett's back home, 2 number 1 picks ready to roll. R.I.P. |
Very sad to read this. He seemed to go downhill pretty quickly. At least he didn't linger on and suffer.
