If MJF somehow shows up on wwe TV and I had to pick I'd be watching wwe just to see him.

AEW is putting their main focus on 6 man tag matches ffs.

He can talk. He’s a bit of an indy geek though.

The worked shoot made it look like things were working out between MJF and AEW, but it was actually a really terrible idea for an angle. There being no follow-up makes me think, increasingly so, that it was possibly just a “best foot forward” kind of thing. Let’s put it out there, create a buzz, get it on our TV instead of it being a backstage rumor, etc. Plus it has kind of cooled the whole “what is MJF going to do?” thing off. If that was the plan launched internally from AEW, it’s kind of sly.

It would not surprise me to see Triple H buy out MJF’s contract at this point.

I don't think HHH could buy MJFs contract out honestly. We know he could afford it, but that requires TK to not be petty and hold him for the duration. If there is enough truth in this whole thing to even lead to HHH attempting a buyout, then that promo probably pissed TK off enough to be vindictive about it.

I think TK knew what MJF was going to say. He listens to Cornette’s podcast — he would have known what was coming. But I think they knew MJF was going home (at least for a bit), and maybe counting on heads cooling off and things to be worked out.

There are people saying that MJF, Ethan Page and whoever else is pissed off at AEW forming a stable. Eh. Who cares? It’s still such a weird direction to take with something that was already working.

At some point, TK probably needs to think about AEW’s budget. MJF is eating a lot of money to stay home and not contribute. If Triple H comes up and wants to buy out certain deals for 75c on the dollar or even at full price, it might be advisable that he takes it.

I understand why these companies are reluctant to let people out of their deals though. I don’t like it from the independent contractor’s perspective, but you don’t want Randy Orion to be able to give you two weeks notice. MJF seems like a “special” case though. But will either side set the precedent?

I do wonder if anyone has actually asked for their official release from AEW yet? TK seems extra careful about NDAs and the like.

There’s also nothing that strictly forbids AEW and WWE from sharing talent. I mean, obviously their contracts prevent them from doing it without their company’s permission, and it would be highly unusual, but if Triple H and Nick Khan really want to use, say, Daniel Bryan — there’s no reason they can’t go to TK and get him to sign off on Danielson being able to work certain WWE dates/angles. We did see Jericho, Big Show and Bryan in those John Cena clips a few weeks ago. It’d be just like that but with live promos and/or wrestling.

It’d save both companies money. They could pay Bryan $200k for a select amount of dates per year, as opposed to millions to be exclusive. If WWE were willing to lend guys like Edge, AJ and Finn Balor to AEW, that saves them too. It’d be good PR for both companies to play nice — especially from WWE’s end.

If MJF shows up in the front row of a Monday Night Raw, I wouldn’t take it to mean he’s definitely left AEW and has signed a WWE deal.

I think the first few years of AEW TK had some long-terms plans with booking but it seems like there aren't really any long-term plans now to me.

You've got a large roster, pick some people and put them on your main show, consistently, and let the audience know who is a big deal and who is a medium deal. The use of Hangman post World Title is bizarre and Miro is still being used badly like he was in WWE.

You cannot keep putting people on Dynamite for a week or two and then banishing them to YouTube and Rampage for 3-4 months, that isn't consistency in booking.

Lol The Dale/Fan + Gertner + RTD (RIP) podcast did not work out and I take the blame. Turns out when you aren’t just gonna rip a derp a new one for 45 minutes , you need to actually prepare a subject.

Malakai Black has been dealing with a serious back issue for the past year and up until 3 months ago he thought it might cause him to retire.

It's all better now apparently, but it might explain why he tends to go a while between matches which in turn might be why some of Malakai/House of Black stories tend to feel stop and start with lots of vignettes.

It might also explain why WWE cut him.

Black's NXT run was really great and would have been a money program on the main roster or AEW, if somebody would just push him as an actual main guy. He's really impressive athletically without constantly doing dives and he has "it" as much as anybody in AEW.

He got the famous AEW push already:

1. Surprise debut
2. Early wins
3. Form a stable
4. Nothing meaningful
5. Random fueds with no heat

Yeah, he really hasn’t been treated any different to anyone else when you think about it.

It’s really hard to think of a single person who has been spotlighted better in AEW than WWE.

I’m adamant that Jade not eat a pin. And I think for Hayder, the story is her chasing Britt, not the other way around. Maybe book a 3 way between Jade, Britt and Hayder, and that’s where you turn Britt on Hayder, who eats the pin.

Instead of just saying "Kenny can't rig explosives, haha" they should have done an angle where Omega investigated and found that his explosives were TAMPERED WITH, which would have started a months long storyline where he conducted investigations and would find clues leading him further and further down the rabbit hole of the conspiracy.... then it would have turned out to be HANGMAN ADAM PAGE all along, in some genius long-term booking. Page wanted to embarrass Omega, and what better way then to pretend he was some directionless cowboy drunk and wait for his opportunity to humiliate Omega on a grand scale.... and why, you ask? Because it would be revealed that Page wasn't who he said he was, and was actually a Canadian kid from Winnipeg who was bullied and embarrassed by Omega as children and who swore that one day he would grow up to get his revenge on a scale writ large. Now that's long-term booking, and would have given their match some real heat!

I really want to hear some locker room leaks from AEW. Too many reports out that are all over the place with drama backstage from the executive that Tony had to beg to not quit a few weeks ago after Tony allegedly was ranting and raving like he was Vince in Gorilla.

There are stories that Punk is backstage being unhappy about his booking, but that report doesn't make sense because he's been gone injured and before that he was just the new champ. Did he even make a defense?

The tweets from Miro and Andrade that indicate their unhappiness as well.
