Waist-lift sitout side slam is his finisher.

Fun Fact: Last night's Hell in a Cell match against Randy Orton, was John Cena's 100th PPV Main Event.

Source: http://www.profightdb.com/wrestlers-...in-events.html

Emperor Smeat 10-27-2014 06:53 PM

Was wondering if that match was actually going to count aka Mania style or had to be the actual final match. WWE claimed it as a "main event" with a really weak and last minute excuse just because it involved Cena.

Either way was surprised the most at Taker being #3 overall.

#1-norm-fan 10-27-2014 07:07 PM

Taker was in the main event picture from the beginning of the monthly PPV era and stuck around for a long time after so it makes sense that he'd be really high up on the list.

Co-main event should count as 1/2 of a main event point.

Since The Bellas are on opposite sides of the Authority I think they might just have them be in the 5 on 5 match.

They don't really have a lot of guys involved in the Authority match right now. It would also keep Daniel Bryan in the picture of the Authority feud.

Cena, Brie, Dolph, ???? ???? (Probably Randy Orton)

Vs.

Rollins, Kane Nikki ???? ????

The Divas Series match would be team AJ Vs. Team Paige instead.

How would a mixed tag elimination match work?

Once one of the Bellas are eliminated, how could the other possibly be eliminated?

I was looking for the episode of WWF Superstars where Bret Hart was announced as champion after beating Ric Flair because I wanted to see it for some reason...

Found this channel on the Youtube where a guy has uploaded a ton of episodes of Superstars, Wrestling Challenge and WCW Saturday Night from the early-mid 90s.

https://www.youtube.com/user/Wrestli...lenge95/videos

Had no idea that former referee Mickie Henson was once a jobber.

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-29-2014 01:03 AM

Rhyno jobbed on a Raw in 1995 before he joined ECW.

Emperor Smeat 10-29-2014 01:10 AM

This week's RAW rating and numbers ended up being mostly bad overall.

Had slightly higher average viewers per hour but overall rating was worse than last week. The third hour bombed badly to become the 2nd worst third hour of the year (1opm + over-run).

In terms of comparisons, last year's RAW episode was better by almost .3 ratings points and had a lot more people watching per hour.

Thea Vidale, the Thea star who portrayed Shelton Benjamin’s mom in a 2006 storyline, recently conducted an interview with Neal Morgan in which she claimed she was sexually harassed in WWE on a daily basis. Vidale called her WWE time as the low point in her career, noting, “I genuinely hated that place. While I was there I was sexually harassed everyday by a perverted middle aged man that didn’t understand what no meant.”
While she didn’t name any names, she did recount one specific incident: “It was disgusting, I’ll never forget the day he came into my changing area with his private parts hanging out of his pants. I made up my mind at that point I was done with that company.”
Let the speculation begin.

... Definitely Flair.

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-29-2014 02:23 AM

I think Sandow could have been HUGE, and still can if the right cards are played. Hell, he could be the king of the mid card if things go well.

Zack Ryder would be a better choice for being The Miz's stunt double. When the angle ends Ryder could go back to being face, and see where he can go from there. When this angle ends with Sandow, we'll see him in TNA (if TNA is still a thing).

In August, WWE creative writer Kevin Eck was among several employees let go by the sports-entertainment organization as part of their initiative to cut costs in all departments. Now that he's no longer employed by the company, Eck revealed a secret he had been holding.

"Now it can be told: I used to have someone in Vince's office steal some of his Speed Shot drinks (or as he called them, "purple gimmicks") for me before I worked out," Eck wrote on Facebook.

Eck is talking about the grape-flavored ABB Performance Speed Shot, an energy drink. His comment was in response to former WWE Superstar Stevie Richards remarking under his status update, "As Vince McMahon once said to Dreamer and me: "I know your two motherf--kers are stealing my protein bars!!!!"

To add to McMahon's food-related quirks, MetsFan4Ever, a former WWE backstage worker who has broken WWE news and produced multiple shows scripts, recently shared a story on Reddit.com about the Chairman's love for Snow cones.

"A few years ago the company had a Snow Cone party. Kind of weird, I know. This was in the back lot of the TV Studio (not the actual large Headquarter building everyone always sees). Well apparently Vince is a huge Snow Cone fanatic. So much so, that he had a lot of them. Like 10. At one point he got up and announced in front of everyone in his Mr. McMahon "You're Fired" voice that he LOVES SNOW CONES. It was awkward and I had to fight to hold back my laughter.

According to an Oct. 27 report from Wrestling Inc, CM Punk is back in the good graces of the WWE, as the promotion has reached a deal with him and his legal team to sell merchandise bearing his name and likeness. The WWE has not released financial figures on the historic new agreement with Punk, and it should also be noted that Punk has not signed any kind of new performer contract to return to the ring.

So yeah Dixie's big surprise ended up being Angle going back to TNA. Only reason it dragged out was because it took a while for the WWE talks to end.

WrestlingDVDNews.com reports that over 100 WWE DVD and Blu-ray titles, including WrestleMania 30 and the recent Paul Heyman set, were pulled from Amazon this past weekend. The titles were then replaced with pre-order listings for January 1st, 2015. This means new orders on those sets will not be shipping out until the new year. There's been talk this summer about WWE partnering with a new Home Video distributor and this could be the reason for the titles being replaced. The deal with the new distributor doesn't go into effect until January 2015 and WWE is likely having some of the bigger titles re-printed in time for that new deal to begin. This also may explain why more than 70 WWE DVD titles have been taken out-of-print in the past 2 months.
Figured that one would be really interested to those who buys WWE stuff from Amazon.

Some other sheet news include tomorrow being when the next Network numbers get revealed and possibly more talent releases soon. Also conflicting reports about TNA in the final stage or not for a new tv deal.

<font color=goldenrod>Kevin Steen will be going by the name Kevin Owens apparently. Owen being the name of his son.

I like it. Doesn't sound like a standard, terrible WWE game and there's at least some sentiment there.</font>

I'd say there's still a 15% chance he'll be revealed as Liam Carthage.

At least someone didn't shut this down as to "avoid confusion" betwen Kevin Steen and Owen Hart.

Mizdow needs to stay Mizdow. A lot of people want him to break away but after the split where is he going? There is nothing built for him after turning in The Miz. Sometimes side characters need to be side characters for a long time. Maybe have Mizdow start using all of Miz's moves during his wrestling matches.

Don't have time to watch right now, but that Lucha Underground thing looks interesting.... production-wise looks very slik...... Remind me to give a watch later.

WWE did away with the 6 month commitment requirement on the $9.99 price of the network.

Don't really see how that's going to help them much.

I think it would help. Say that someone is only interested in watching PPVs.... but not interested enough in 6 of them. He can pick and choose which months to sign up and watch.

Probably get a boost around the big events like Rumble and Mania too. People signing up only for the one/two events.

Of course, it doesn't "help" in the "long term", just for short boosts every now and then.

Over the last quarter, there were 286,000 new subscribers and 255,000 cancellations.

Considering they were available in 170 new countries and added Canadian TV (Rogers) since the last report, this is a terrible number.

Of the 286,000 new subscribers, 23,000 ordered the $12.99 monthly deal.

The network will be available in the same version as the U.S. in the United Kingdom during the month of November.

Lost a big chunk of their US base to the point the international market barely put them in the positive for the quarter. Still haven't been able to reach a million overall even with counting unique accounts. Also of those new subscribers, just 3,000 was from the US.

Reigns, with new nicknames like “The Juggernaut” and “The Big Dog,” is being primed for the top position.

The plan has always been for Lesnar to retain against Cena and be the unstoppable monster that Reigns stops, preferably at WrestleMania, and after winning the Royal Rumble. Generally, WWE top of the card Mania plans are usually pretty obvious by December, although this plan was evident much earlier. We’d reported it was likely he would need surgery because his strength in his right arm still isn’t coming back.

The situation is significant. Bryan made a public appearance on 10/28 in Santa Clara. According to what we were told, even though he was wearing a long sleeve shirt, it was described to us, and photos backed it up, that you could tell Bryan’s left arm looked big and has retained its usual muscle (while not a big muscular guy by wrestler standards, by normal person on the street standards, he’s thickly muscled) and his right arm looked much smaller. We were told there is no timetable for his return nor a guarantee he will return. There have been reports that he’s going to get Tommy John surgery, an elbow procedure common among baseball pitchers, which has a long recovery time. WWE officially has been quiet about his situation publicly but wrestlers have talked about him needing major elbow surgery.

Del Rio confronted Barbierri and complained about him saying it and asked for an apology. Barbierri didn’t apologize. Del Rio slapped him really hard and knocked him down, and was then fired.

Some other sheet news include the Network dropping the 6 month commitment option but staying at $9.99 per month, new Network subscribers get a free month, and WWE somewhat gave up on Ambrose as a possible top star for now.

RIP Bob Geigel

He was a damn good amateur wrestler here in the state of Iowa as a young man.

He came in 3rd during the 1948 NCAA Championships. Geigel would also letter four times at the University of Iowa in football.

He's most known as the longtime promoter of Central States Wrestling and as President of the NWA.

The wrestling community owes a great deal to Bob, and we at the Cauliflower Alley Club send our deepest sympathies to his friends and loved ones in this time of mourning.

SLAYOMI sounds interesting. The only thing I can think of is some kind of Santino/Beth Phoenix "Glamarella" type storyline, involving Heath Slater and Naomi.

Also, it looks like the February PPV will be called "Fast Lane" after all. :(
