Mirrors Edge is fucking awesome. Sooooooooooo smooth and fluid and it is open fucking world. Various mission types, collectibles, etc. make it TONS more expansive than the 1st game, which was strictly linear.

Should I care about Battleborn? I just started playing Borderlands 2 last week (I know, years behind) and absolutely love it, and love MOBAs. This sounds right up my alley.

I think it's choose Battleborn or Overwatch.

I really don't know what the difference is between them other than a plot and that one is Blizzard's and the other is Gearbox's.

Is there something in the video game water these days that after a big name leaves a company, a lawsuit from one of them soon follows?

I think once each of the last few weeks there's been a settlement or lawsuit.

Only read a little about both games but Battleborn includes a campaign mode that can be played solo or in co-op. Overwatch seems to be just online multiplayer only.

Gearbox pretty much has more to lose since it seems they are banking on this game to lead the hype into Borderlands 3 and their recent track record has been somewhat bad (ex. Aliens Colonial Marines debacle, CEO being a douchebag).

I didn't care for the Battleborn Betas I have done so far. I gave it a go for at least 4 hours. Lots of characters though.

Is it comparable in gameplay to Overwatch? Have a bunch of friends getting Overwatch so I'll probably pick that up. If the two are similar enough I'll prolly pass on Battleborn then.

Nah, they're pretty different. Battleborn plays like a first person MOBA with lanes and trash units and all that, while Overwatch is TF2ish.

Also, based on the betas, Battleborn isn't good and Overwatch is great.

Played the Nioh demo. Not to sound like a broken record, but it's almost a carbon copy of Dark Souls. But with samurais, ninjas, and spirits.

According to a report from Bloomberg, Ubisoft is threatening a mass talent exodus occurring if Vivendi's attempts at a hostile ownership takeover continues or they are successful with it.

Ubisoft warned if Vivendi manages to become majority owners, it likely will mean the end of the creative freedom currently enjoyed within the company. Either by Vivendi being more likely to meddle with projects or by Ubisoft's own hands.

I'm not a.fan of UbiSofts big budget games, but the smaller and experimental titles they allow their staff to play with I really do enjoy and that's what would be fucked up the most.

Hell, even Activision's output improved once Vivendi fucked off.

Outside of killing the assassins creed series with annual releases, I've enjoyed their aaa titles. Hell, they even made AC good again for a little bit with Black Flag.

I know ubisoft's open world formula has become a meme at this point, but I love it. Guess I'm biased though. Really love stealth/tactical games and ubisoft kills it when it comes to those. Also love 2d platformers and the rayman series is one ofthe best ever.

I am very glad to have had Rayman recommended to me by Fignuts (and maybe Smeat?). I was skeptical at first, but Legends is one of the beset platformers I have ever played.

Will also vouch for Rayman Legends, it's super great. Amazing on the Wii U as well, incorporates the gamepad very well

1) Besides some details already leaked and revealed early, Battlefield 1 is confirmed to be taking place during World War I and covers several of the war's front such as the Italian and Middle Eastern theaters. Currently planned for an October 18 (special edition) and October 21st (regular versions) release dates for the PC, Xbox One, and PS4. Unlike past Battlefield games, DICE revealed they are putting a lot more effort in this game's campaign mode.

So I'm playing the latest game by Game Freak, the makers of Pokemon on 3DS and it's a horse racing game.

During the tutorial, my character is kicked to death by a horse and is brought back to life as an angel, but only if he wins the main horse racing championship. My character says he's a shit jockey, but he's good at solitaire. So now he plays solitaire during races to make his horse go faster.

I have no idea why I cannot stop playing this

So I got to see the Nvidia event, and there was a sneak peek of Battlefield 1 also. The latter was.. Interesting. Piloting the Zeppelins is a weird idea.
