Here's a question:

If she makes it to the WWE (and it's safe to bet that she will), will she replace Paige as the IWC's "Diva Darling"?

I say yes.

Innovator 10-22-2014 06:27 PM

You bring Paige up a lot for someone who hates her

Cool King 10-22-2014 06:47 PM

Not really.

I quick search shows that the last time I brought up Paige before that post, was two days ago, but before that, it was about two months ago, and before that, four months ago.

That's not counting Raw/PPV threads though, because when I do mention her in those threads, she's on/about to appear on my screen.

As of this past weekend, the plan was still for WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar to make his return on the December 8th Slammys RAW and for his first match back to be at the Royal Rumble, still against John Cena. We noted last night that this could be a potential spoiler for Cena vs. Randy Orton at Hell In a Cell, which is now a #1 contenders match. It's said that when Randy Orton is given something by WWE creative that he doesn't feel is right for his character, he turns it down in a nicer way by telling them to go "ask Triple H" - which is known to mean "no."
:-\ there goes any hope of Lesnar-Orton happening any time soon.

On Chris Jericho's Talk is Jericho podcast for Sept. 12, Cameron brought this topic to light. "The whole thing we have been fighting is being on the show [means] not being able to have a chance at the title," Cameron noted. Nikki Bella then said earlier this month during a radio station interview that no cast member of the popular reality show can hold the belt. She also acknowledged that timing is an issue, since Total Divas episodes are taped weeks before they are aired, which could potentially seem confusing based upon the current WWE storyline of the week.

During an interview published Monday on Yahoo! Sports, McMahon was asked, "Is there any truth to the report that the wrestlers on Totals Divas aren't allowed to win the Divas Championship?" She responded, "Absolutely not. I honestly don't even know how that rumor got started." She was then told that WWE talent addressed it, to which she responded, "There is no policy. I think it would be awesome to have one of the Total Divas as our champion. I think it would drive interest in the storyline. I would never say never."

As noted before, TNA does not have any more shows scheduled in the United States. They have just three shows in January and those shows are for the United Kingdom. There are reports, according to the latest Figure Four newsletter, of TNA’s office parking being empty during the week. If Dixie Carter is to be believed, word about a new TV deal should be announced by Friday.
Final taped episode is around 3 weeks from now before recap/highlight shows take over.

The winning team all get automatic bids into the Rumble and entry draws in the last half of the match. Survivors get to draw even later than non-surviving members of the winning team. Losers still have an opportunity to qualify in the weeks following, but if they do, they're confined to a draw in the first half of the match.

It's a little convoluted, but it gives you all kinds of storytelling possibilities.

Maybe a member of the losing team blames a teammate for his loss, turns on him, and boom you've got a Mania feud.

Maybe somebody who wasn't on the main event radar manages to qualify and survive. Now, all of a sudden you've got a guy in the final four at the Rumble who wasn't even in the Mania discussion in October.

Maybe somebody on the losing team overcomes the odds and wins the Rumble despite having to start #1?

<font color=goldenrod>Would love to see the Survivor Series matches mean something, Loopy.

I could see the match being for everybody getting a spot in the Rumble AND the man who scores the final pin gets to be #30 (or #40 this year). Could just see two heels wearing down the last remaining face only to start arguing over the final pin as the face scores a big win. Would make for an interesting departure from the norm since the "win and you get to enter last" angle nearly always ends in a heel getting to enter last for extra heat.</font>

Except when Duke "The Dumpster" Droese beat Triple H on the Free for All for the right to enter #30.

This works. Always thought that the Bragging Rights PPV/match could have delivered on something like this, also.

You could have a huge tournament for a shot at the title, either a one night PPV deal or spread it out over a month/6 weeks with qualifiers, etc. Throw in a deal where losing quarter-finalists fall into a Fatal Fourway at the next PPV for a shot at the US/IC title, or something similar.

That'd give you a World Title match with a well heated contender vs. the champ, a Fatal Fourway for a shot at one of the midcard titles, perhaps have losing semi-finalists get a shot at the US and IC titles on this show, or supplement the show with already established feuds over the midcard titles, etc.

The concept doesn't have to lead to Rumble. We don't need the Road To The Road To WrestleMania, but we do need something to make people sit up and take notice. If this period is seen as a "down period", at least try new things out, don't fill time with another Cena/Orton match.

- Former WWE performer Chyna has resurfaced on Youtube, and posted a new video titled, “ AND THE AWARD FOR FEMALE DISEMPOWERMENT AND DISRESPECT GOES TO STEPHANIE MCMAHON LEVESQUE”.

Chyna was not pleased to see Stephanie trending on Yahoo recently after she was announced as a recipient of an Eisenhower Fellowship. Chyna questioned what was wrong with the world, and that Stephanie was lucky that she had the golden ticket. She then commented on WWE’s new domestic violence policy, noting that it’s fine for WWE to have violence all over their TV as long as they come out against it in real life.

Chyna then said that her life has been hell for the past decade, and that it was due to the abuse she dealt with in both her life personally and inside the wrestling business. This is why she felt the need to come out and share her thoughts. You can check out the video below…

"After the Nicole Brown murder happened they changed the laws. So if there's a domestic violence call both parties go to jail."

I'm no expert on the law but common sense tells me that this can't possibly be the case. She then went on to give an example of X-Pac falsely accusing her of abusing him, too. That's not the same thing. That's both parties getting arrested for abuse because both were accused of abuse.

And yes, I think it is okay to script violence on TV and be against it in real life. It's not hypocritical. Pretty sure WWE isn't the only place in entertainment where this happens.

Chyna coming off as a bitter shithead.

I can confirm that Jim Ross will be announcing the New Japan Pro Wrestling pay-per-view that is taking place on January 4th, 2015.

Jeff Jarrett will be helping produce this PPV and NJPW will be working with Jarrett's new company Global Force Wrestling.

GFW is distributing the PPV in the US, and JR will be doing the play-by-play for them.

The Young Bucks are also confirmed to be on this PPV. I have been told that whenever GFW runs shows, the Bucks will be a main staple on those shows.

Jeff Jarrett met with ROH officials recently to discuss an agreement on how to use talent such as the Bucks. So it is safe to say we will be seeing ROH talent involved in GFW.

EDIT: Nevermind, JR debunked that announcement and said he has prior commitments for that week.

Jeff and I agreed to have him on the Ross Report Podcast that will drop on December 16 via text messages.

So, here's the bottom line, if we do work out something and it's going to take a helluva deal for me to miss my birthday, a weekend in Vegas with my wife and the UFC on January 3 to see @RondaRousey fight to travel to Tokyo to do pro wrestling with a new partner, a new crew and a new talent roster. IF we are able to make a deal, then the publicity seeking "source" can brag that he was right all along.

I'm not looking to do any pro wrestling but I'm also a businessman and if the offer is one that I can't realistically turn down then we will consider it and if we commit I will be "all in" and will travel to Tokyo to do play by play of a pro wrestling match like it was my last one.

Supposedly he's working on a few side projects and might push for WWE official approval to help boost them if he can't on his own.

Mysterio will probably need to do the same as Del Rio and threaten legit legal action for the WWE to release him if they try to extend his contract again.

Really sad if Mysterio parts ways with WWE under acrimonious circumstances. Rey would have been a guy who'd make appearances from time to time and is a sure fire Hall Of Famer, maybe not so much if he has to threaten legal action to get away.

I can see why he wants out; the tiresome schedule no doubt doesn't help with keeping his broken down body in form and a lighter schedule in AAA would help with that. Additionally, it's clear that WWE are hellbent on "finding the next masked Latino star" and they'll want Rey to put him over on his way out.

Can't be all that enticing to get back into ring shape with a broken down body, to hit the road, to work a programme to ultimately heat somebody else up. That said, surely they can come to a compromise.

Chyna then said that her life has been hell for the past decade, and that it was due to the abuse she dealt with in both her life personally and inside the wrestling business. This is why she felt the need to come out and share her thoughts. You can check out the video below…

Sour Grapes. Triple H didn't sell out he bought in. :D

Don't really care what somebody who did porn instead of gainful employment in wrestling has to say. She was getting kinda over in TNA but then she did actual porn. I know you have some sort of love affair for people who do porn but come on. Selling a leaked sex tape before it becomes viral is one thing, but she did several real porn vids. She did that instead of being on national TV every week with TNA. She's disgusting. Don't care what she has to say about "female empowerment" when she was paid to have sex on camera. Yeah, that's the kinda person who can judge somebody else? No.

I agree Champion, I think she needs to know her role and shut her mouth. I'm so into this though. The way this storyline is going to play out, obviously a match at Wrestlemania 31 in the works. Genius

I'm really looking forward to Ambrose vs. Rollins in the Cell. I have a feeling one (possibly both) is going to do something really crazy.

It'd make sense for Triple H to come out and protect his investment, right? I could see him opening the cell as it looks like Ambrose is in control. Ambrose dives onto Triple H and fires rights at him. Rollins escapes out the door and climbs up to the top, as Ambrose gives chase. Kane comes up from behind and goes to Chokeslam Ambrose on the top, but then gets kicked low and delivered Dirty Deeds on a metal beam. Then...either Ambrose or Rollins goes off the cell. I actually think that long-term, it'd help Rollins more to lose in such spectacular style here.

Hunico should have been a much bigger deal when he happened. He loses the mask, but gains a sense of "freedom" and can now be "himself." But they saddled him with the bicycle and a Tongan pretending to be his homie. Whatever.

Mr. Nerfect 10-25-2014 02:00 AM

I still think Alberto Del Rio vs. Hunico could have been a tremendous blood-feud in WWE. The classy aristocratic Mexican icon against a "dirty peasant" looking to carve a niche for himself.

Mr. Nerfect 10-25-2014 02:01 AM

Hunico seems really uncomfortable in the Sin Cara role at times, but he's been growing tighter with Kalisto, and they're developing a chemistry. It's good to see him holding gold too, even if it is just a vehicle to get Kalisto over long-term. In the short-term, that makes Sin Cara important.

Earlier this month, WWE signed Zahra Schreiber, a professional model and tour manager, and Gionna Daddio, a Hooters model, after they worked a tryout in June. They both have reported to the WWE Performance Center and were at Thursday's NXT tapings, seen in the photo of this post. The three men with them in the photo have also been signed by WWE. They are: Sunny Dhinsa, pictured on the left, an amateur wrestler that was training for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Brazil at one point; Dustin Mueller, pictured in the center, is a bodybuilder from Chicago with no apparent wrestling or collegiate/pro sports background; Josh Woods is an amateur wrestler from the University of Central Florida with some MMA experience.

WWE NXT star Sawyer Fulton's name is partially based on 1970s and 80s wrestler Charlie Fulton. He was a regular "jobber to the stars" in the World Wrestling Federation in the early 80s, and his run most notably featured a loss to Antonio Inoki at Madison Square Garden in 1984.

The Portland Tribune reports that former WWE star Billy Jack Haynes is suing WWE in federal court for "egregious mistreatment of its wrestlers for its own benefit, as well as its concealment and denial of medical research and evidence concerning traumatic brain injuries suffered by WWE wrestlers." Hayes filed a 42 page lawsuit against WWE on Thursday. Hayes is asking the court to grant class-action status to his lawsuit for what his lawyers say could be 500 people who suffered injuries while performing in the WWE ring ...

In regards to the lawsuit filed against by WWE by former wrestler Billy Jack Haynes, WWE issued the following statement to me this afternoon: "Billy Jack Haynes performed for WWE from 1986-1988. His filed lawsuit alleges that WWE concealed medical information and evidence on concussions during that time, which is impossible since the condition now called chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) had not even been discovered. WWE was well ahead of sports organizations in implementing concussion management procedures and policies as a precautionary measure as the science and research on this issue emerged. Current WWE procedures include ImPACT testing for brain function, annual educational seminars and the strict prohibition of deliberate and direct shots to the head. Additionally, WWE has committed significant funding for concussion research conducted by the Sports Legacy Institute (SLI), leaders in concussion research, and WWE Executive Vice President Paul Levesque sits on SLI's Board."

It was reported this past week that Randy Orton may have re-aggravated a back injury in the RAW main event. There has been no confirmation that Orton is injured but he is not on the official internal injury list. This does not mean Orton isn't hurt but it's probably not a serious injury. On a related note, Orton mentioned on Twitter that he asked for a "RKO Outta Nowhere" t-shirt a few weeks back but hasn't received an answer. A fan asked Orton when we will get a shirt like that and Orton replied, "When they make room for something other than Cena merch."
Some other sheet news include Hogan showing up again for this week's RAW.

this is such an outstanding match.

one of those matches that NXT needs to have its rookies watch and take notes.

Championship Wrestling from Florida - Summer 1981. Florida Heavyweight Championship. Mike Graham (challenger) vs Dory Funk Jr (champion). This is the classic Australian Rules Match (six 7 minute rounds). Bill Alfonso is the ref. Great commentary from Gordon Solie and Coach John Heath. And then there's Terry.

CWF Promoter Eddie Graham was a huge supporter and fan of real wrestling. He would send Danny Hodge and Dory Funk Jr to work out with the High School wrestling team.

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2..._7733889_n.jpg

Eddie also demanded respect and wanted people to think it was real. He didn't take crap from no one.

He took this business very seriously.

He made Bob Roop basically be his hired gunslinger and stretch the guys who thought they were wrestlers.

Bob for his part to this day regrets and hated that he would hurt these young guys.
