I'm not a huge fan of Nintendo mobile... idk. Obviously v good for the company but I hate using touch screen for games. Pokemon Shuffle on mobile is a significantly less enjoyable experience for me relative to the 3DS counterpart.
Will prolly dl it to "kick the tires" on it but I don't foresee myself spending a ton of time with it. Maybe. |
I can see myself using Miitomo a lot, just because by doing it it looks like I'll get free and discounted "real" Nintendo games. Like Wario Ware Touched is up there, some VC games and a lot of vouchers for eShop full games. Quite fancy that 20% off Yoshi's Wooly World.

Good to hear about ff7. No problem with the episodic content if it's going to be that big. Wanted to explore that world so much more when I first played it.
Now I only have to decide whether to play each episode as it comes out or wait to marathon the whole thing. |
If it is as advertised, playing episodic wouldn't be terrible in this instance. That is IF - they actually realize how much "content" they will need. Hopefully they do. They know how big of a deal this "re-make" is to the gaming world.

I've noticed recently that I'm no longer getting achievements pop up when I unlock them, they just appear in the unlocked list. I've looked at the notification settings and everything is on, so I'm not sure why this has stopped. I am always online and the achievements show up in the achievements list straight away, I'm just no longer getting the plop and pop.

Sources close to Giantbomb recently leaked rumored details regarding the upcoming PS4.5 upgraded console.
The console itself is codenamed the Neo and starting this October, PS4 developers are required to develop two versions of their games with one as the base version and one as the Neo version. In terms of overall improvements, the Neo is around 30% more powerful than the current PS4 console. Quote:

They're mass producing a Polaris with 36CUs and not a GCN so it would make sense. Shame about the CPU bump. I doubt we'll see framerate increses on the NEO versions. |

That's just it though - a bottleneck is a bottleneck. It seems dumb to upgrade that much power, graphics wise, when you know the CPU isn't being given the same consideration. It may seem minor, but it seems like a half-done "upgrade", considering the pricetag will most likely not justify it.

Platinum Games head Tatsuya Minami has stepped down. He'll be replaced by Kenichi Sato.
Sato seems to want to carry on the same focus on quality and I think it's in safe hands, but I'd love to know why Tatsuya has stepped down. He seemed pretty committed and the Activision deal seemed to have given them a good bump while maintaining at least a decent quality on budget-level games. |

My CoD Blops III updated today and has been all fucked up since. Random freezes on all game modes, "dropped" connection on MP quite a bit, just all around performance issues. Hard rebooted my console and everything. Digital version too, so it can't be a disc issue.
