Yesterday one of the local football teams here scored a goal during their match and celebrated buy doing an "RKO Outta Nowhere".

I don't know about you, but I cringed like a champion at it.

WWE news: WWE lies about who was the original Sin Cara to Mexican fans

The WWE continued to use the Sin Cara character even after Alvirde left the WWE. They simply called up the former Hunico, Jorge Arias, from NXT and put the costume on him, pretending that Sin Cara never left. More recently, Sin Cara won the NXT tag team titles. Well, WWE sent Arias as Sin Cara down to Mexico for a press tour and allegedly claimed that this was the “original Sin Cara.”

With all the bad blood between Alvirde and the WWE over the Sin Cara name, it seems strange that the WWE would want to make these claims. It also seems strange that the WWE would simply lie about who is wearing the costume when Mexican wrestling fans, of all people, should know exactly who wore the Sin Cara costume over the years.

Of course, Hunico and Mistico fought, both wearing the Sin Cara costume in the WWE a few years back. However, even at that time, the announcers called Mistico’s Sin Cara the “original Sin Cara.” The fact that they are allegedly calling Hunico the original seems like revisionist history.

This is just another step in the recent controversy surrounding the WWE and their Latino fan base. With the way that they tossed out Sin Cara and then replaced him without a word, it seemed that they considered one Lucha wrestler was as good as any other. There is also the fact that Rey Mysterio has made claims that the WWE is holding him hostage with a forced contract extension and the firing of Alberto Del Rio for standing up to alleged racial insults. This is just another black eye for the WWE if true.

He hasn't been used in interviews since like 2004 (Rise and Fall of ECW.) Not sure if they have a relationship at this point in any way. Unlikely to happen right now but it could. Vince should do it and induct Ted Turner also if he agrees to appear.

Thing is I actually knew of Ox Baker in passing through old testaments of wrestling history. I love history, I just know that others on here are more into it and on their feet compared to my reaction

RIP Ox Baker.

He had such a great look for pro wrestling. I've heard he was also one of the nicest guys ever.

His Heart Punch got over for a good reason - On June 13, 1971, Ox and his partner the Claw were wrestling in an AWA Midwest Tag Team Championship tag team match against Alberto Torres and his partner Cowboy Bob Ellis in Verdigre, Nebraska. Torres was injured during the match and died three days later. Though evidence indicated that Torres died of a ruptured appendix, Baker's Heart Punch was blamed and, though by his own account Baker was privately distraught over the death, he did "work" it as though he had killed Torres.

On August 1, 1972, in Savannah, Georgia Baker faced Ray Gunkel, who was a popular wrestler in (and part owner of) the Georgia promotion. Though it was claimed that Gunkel dropped dead in the ring from the Heart Punch, other accounts, most notably in the biography of Vince McMahon Sex, Lies and Headlocks, state that Gunkel had suffered a heart attack apparently from over-indulging at a restaurant before the match. The truth is that Gunkel won the match and died in the dressing room after the match.

In both cases, Baker was "blamed" for the death.

Could end up being a great way to jump start Emma's push again if Paige won't be the main challenger anymore.

Either that or its a sign that Charlotte and/or a few others are getting called up before the new season arrives assuming the no title for Total Divas rule still exists by then.

Uhaa wrestled this past weekend in Thomson, GA. I was impressed by both him and his tag team partner Moose. They faced A.R. Fox and some other guy. Anyhow, There was an indyriffic spot where Fox and the other guy ended up double pinning Moose, and Moose throws both of them off of him at the same time. I was like "Whoa." Nation was damn good, too.

Also on the card, if you care, was Mr. Hughes (who lost a lot of weight), the Hurricane, and Sugar Dunkington.

Somebody in WCW heard that "Mean" Mark Callous was taking an offer to go North and though "Who cares. It's not like he'll ever be a big deal."

Eric Bischoff was pretty much the only guy in WCW at the time that didn't think Steve Austin was going to be a big star.

They really need to do something to kick-start this time of the year. The awkward holding pattern between SummerSlam and Royal Rumble needs to be viewed as a challenge to overcome rather than a fact of circumstance.

Every title (except World) is being defended at Hell in a Cell in an established feud. Hot feud with Rollins and Ambrose right now. Lesnar being gone is forcing them to utilize what champions they have. Miz/Sheamus is a title match that hasn't been that over done. Dolph and Cesaro always take each other to great heights. They even have two established feud with divas. They are trying.

Got no complaints with the card.
