This is not what I expected before I scrolled down to see what video you had.

The obvious bad theme is this one:

Bad News Gertner 05-29-2018 11:50 PM

Lol jesus christ

Dark One 05-29-2018 11:52 PM

VAN CRUSHINATOR

VAN BOBBINATOR

VAN LACERATOR

VAN WEEDINATOR

Which of those is the real lyric?

Was going to post Jeff Hardy's tna theme, but I think RVD's may be more awful.

Droford 05-30-2018 02:04 AM

My favorite TNA theme is still Jeff Jarretts

Fignuts 05-30-2018 02:06 AM

Yeah but that one isn't terrible. We're talking about themes that tear ear drums.

It probably doesn't hurt that I think that the Waterproof Blonde version of Just Close Your Eyes is the greatest theme of all time.

This is up there with the Bray Wyatt/Skinner mashup. :y:

LibSuperstar 05-30-2018 02:21 AM

Suckas gots ta know.

Tom Guycott 05-30-2018 02:21 AM

As far as TNA themes, they fell into three categories: the rare good one (say what you want, but I think Syxx's theme was better/more fitting than just about *any* theme he used in WWE), the vast majority of middling production sounding tracks that were supposed to actually be good somehow (like said RVD theme), and the blatant ripoffs (see: Triple X, Tomko, or MCMG).

Jarrett's was okay because it seemed like it actually had some thought put into making it unique. Same with AJ's. And Abyss. I'd even say Amazing Kong and Hernandez were alright (until Hernandez's theme got way overproduced) I won't count 3LK or LAX, because Truth and Konnan have a hand in music, so they had a hand in production for themselves.

I miss the Waterproof Blonde version. Quality stuff.

Lock Jaw 05-30-2018 09:47 AM

Best mashup I ever heard was The Undertaker ministry theme and Triple H My Time.......

Think it was called My Darkside...... can't find it anymore, though.....

Randomly thinking about the time the "It's Still Real To Me" guy joined the wrestlecrap forums years ago...even posted a pic w/ a wrestlecrap sign to prove it was him...

Two days later deleted his account due to cyberbullying from former TPWW poster The Mercenary.

Rammsteinmad 05-30-2018 02:12 PM

Haha I forgot that guy even existed. Gonna have to search that video again now.

Heisenberg 05-30-2018 02:17 PM

That's very discerning that one of our own would drive "Real to me" away from what should be a haven.

I spit on this

slik 05-30-2018 02:20 PM

I remember he kept calling him 'a cry-ass' and quoting all his posts and saying 'are you gonna cry about it'

Wow. We could have "It's Still Real To Me" guy here on TPWW at this point. Fuck Merc.

Sixx 05-30-2018 04:36 PM

Merc cyberbullying anyone? Holy fucking shit.

Not only was that guy super dumb, he also looked like your typical basement-dawellng goblin in his late 40s.

Impact is taping 4 weeks of T.V in my city Friday and Saturday. Scott D'Amore's indie fed is run out of my city so there's usually some big name talent coming through here

Jordan 05-30-2018 04:46 PM

You should go. I don't watch Impact but I would go to a taping.

Yeah--definitely go. It sounds like Impact has gained some momentum. I haven't watched or followed it much in months and months, but the bits and pieces I've caught or read up on sounds like they're at least trying some new stuff.

Bad News Gertner 05-30-2018 09:36 PM

If I wasn't headed away on vacation next week I would. Our indie promotion is awesome. Border City Wrestling. The Rock came here in 98 for his only indie appearence. Last show Pete Dunne, Tito Santana and Rey Mysterio appeared, plus a ton of Impact guys since it's D'Amore's fed. Lots of talent have come out of Border City Wrestling: Rhyno, Chris Sabin, Moose, Bobby Roode to name a few. Tyson Dux and Johnny Devine are the trainers here.

Emperor Smeat 05-30-2018 10:12 PM

Where do they rank in the indies scene in Canada?

Like ROH/Impact tier of upper status or like EVOLVE/PWG where they are more mid-tier but have a very strong following or like lower local level for support.

Bad News Gertner 05-30-2018 11:03 PM

Pretty high. They routinely draw 1500-2000 and the crowds are very lively. Jarrett actually offered us huge discounts to come up to Toronto for GFW tapings because we were so loud. . They run major shows a few times a year and small shows here and there. I'd put it a notch below Smash Wrestling out of the Toronto area. The partnership with Impact has existed in some sort of fashion since D"Amore started with TNA but it has ramped up great since he took over creative. Guys like Kongo Kong and Idris Abraham are Border City Wrestling guys. I could easily see it become a feeder for Impact.

Emperor Smeat 05-30-2018 11:25 PM

Used to have a decent one nearby called New England Wrestling Alliance but it shut down a few years ago. Had a few good chances to go to one of their shows in the past but never did because of various reasons.

Biggest in the region is New England Championship Wrestling in Massachusetts which has some past ties to the WWE and John Cena being their biggest alumni.

Sasha being the workhorse of the Women's division is pretty interesting considering her recent injury history and Vince supposedly not being that high on her as a big star compared to others.

Mr. Nerfect 05-31-2018 01:18 AM

She seems fairly "over" by today's standards, so they probably put her on shows to just go out there and fluff about. It doesn't mean it's high profile stuff.

Evil Vito 05-31-2018 08:19 AM

Dolph Ziggler: 508 matches, all of them forgettable

erickman 05-31-2018 08:55 AM

wheres mr main event curt hawlkins on the list

Ol Dirty Dastard 05-31-2018 09:11 AM

Sasha's promos make her unattractive which is saying something since she's a fox.

Big Vic 05-31-2018 02:08 PM

Remember Asuka?
