Someone at yesterday's taping took a picture from ringside:

I can now say without a shadow of a doubt that I do not hate Cole anymore. That was wonderful.

Some stuff from the dirtsheets:

Quote:

The big talk backstage at Tuesday night’s WWE Smackdown tapings is what some of the wrestlers who were at RAW are describing to us as a “total shoot” in which Vince McMahon stormed out of the arena at the conclusion of RAW because of the piledriver spot John Cena and CM Punk did in their match last night.

It is being said that at one point, Arn Anderson (who was the producer of the match) was concerned about losing his job. John Cena apparently smoothed things over with Vince, who was already in his limo leaving by the time Cena came back into the Gorilla position after the match.

While the piledriver aired on WWE’s own YouTube channel, it is not known how many were aware of Vince’s anger over the spot, which we have been told is being described as something that got “lost in the translation.”

Undertaker vs. CM Punk was confirmed for Wrestlemania about a week ago and WWE Creative is now scrambling to fast-track the match's storyline. They started phase one with Punk's promo on Monday referring to himself as an "icon" above Superstars and God.

One concern within some facets of creative is that with Punk having lost two PPVs in a row and again to Cena, that a loss to Undertaker at Wrestlemania could really damage one of the two names who show they can draw on the road currently, the other being John Cena.

Another big one involved Jericho confirming Triple H is mostly in charge of the WWE now with Triple H and not Vince being the one to who made the deal for his recent run. Vince still has final say on anything although he's only in direct control over a few wrestlers and storylines now (ex. anything Cena or non-Shield Ryback related).

So I came across the end of an episode of Fort Boyard today on Challenge, and instantly I thought I was looking at a very young Paul Burchill and Katie Lea Burchill.

Upon further inspection, it turns out I was correct and it was a very young Paul and Katie Lea Burchill. It was apparently a celebrity special featuring guys from FWA. Doug Williams, James Tighe, and Sweet Saraya were the other members of the team.

I tried to find the episode so you could all watch, but as always, someone who's uploaded all the episodes to YouTube, hasn't uploaded the episode I want, so no video I'm afraid.

Cool King 02-27-2013 03:55 PM

Though I do have images.

How would you even notice that when Melinda Messenger is around?

CSL 02-27-2013 04:02 PM

James Tighe is probably the last name I ever expected to see on TPWW.net

She wasn't on that one. That episode was from 2003, so it was Jodie Penfold and Christopher Ellison that were presenting it.

punk hasn't won a ppv match clean since summerslam

Corporate CockSnogger 02-27-2013 04:44 PM

He's heel, you'd think as a wrestling fan you'd be pretty familiar with heels cheating to win.

James Steele 02-27-2013 04:49 PM

Hell, he lost every PPV match but like 2 over the course of a year and a half right before his mega push.

Earlier today, PWInsider.com broke that WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair would be appearing on ABC's "Celebrity Wife Swap" with his girlfriend, former WCW personality Fifi the Maid being swapped to go live with another family.

This afternoon, we confirmed the other family belongs to another WWE Hall of Famer: Roddy Piper.

The premise of the show will see Fifi go to live with Piper's family while Roddy's wife goes to live with Ric's family so the two sides can compare and learn from each other.

The episode was filmed the week of 2/14.

Droford 02-27-2013 05:19 PM

Pipers wife will probably file for divorce from Flair durring the show

Fignuts 02-27-2013 05:22 PM

Well at least Tensai might get a run with the tag titles.

She'll probably get physical, too, maybe throw a lamp. :)

Survivor Series 2013 match:
Ric Flair vs. All his exes

To give Flair's side a shot of having any offense in the "no beating on the women" era of WWE, maybe put Charlotte as his partner to circumvent the issue.

Curd 02-27-2013 09:56 PM

And speaking of romance, is this CHIKARA wrestler Gran Akuma ("Great Demon") appearing in an online ad for a Christian dating website?!?

Aha ha ha

Mark Henry at Justin Gabriel:

"You like to kick people? You like to kick people?! YOU LIKE TO KICK PEOPLE? I DO TOO!"

"C'MON FLY GABRIEL! FLY!"

Fucking love Mark Henry.

Nah, it is from the website of some shipping company: http://www.meyerofficemoving.com/moving_wwe_smackdown/

Ryan Clark is reporting:

Quote:

Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter

– WWE will turn back the clock this Monday on RAW as the program is being branded as an “old school” episode. Aside from the likely return of The Undertaker, the episode is being internally considered a throwaway show and undercard matches for WrestleMania will not start to take shape until at least the following week.
I don't know what kind of writers/boss would consider it acceptable to just have a "throwaway" show.
