Hey man I'd recommend you watch a 3 hour episode of WWE raw if you like to see very safe matches with absolutely no blading and very few bumps!

Damian Rey 2.0 06-30-2022 10:58 PM

Don’t forget about watching the same guys wrestle each other every week and trading wins!

Destor 06-30-2022 11:15 PM

theres an art to putting on a compelling matches with minimal bumps. i dont concede that the greater the bump count the better the match. if thats true then the bucks should be drawing trillions

XL 07-01-2022 02:31 AM

Yeah that rating has nothing to do with NJPW and everything to do with the B&G match, which isn’t sustainable. Whether they did a good enough job with the show to get people to come back next week will be interesting but I’d expect them to be back below the million next Wednesday.

Probably a similar story for Raw. A boost from everything going on with McMahon (was his appearance announced?) and from Cena’s rerun but I’d be surprised if they deliver 1.9m next week, though it is MITB this weekend so if they deliver something compelling off the back of that, maybe.

Don’t be negative — AEW is taking over soon, alright?

Bingo.

Mr. Nerfect 07-05-2022 02:23 PM

I can’t wait for Dynamite’s 1 million to beat Raw’s 2 million this week.

Sweet, is Dynamite having a themed Dynamite special with a 1 hour 12 man gimmick match with a held down by the Fed Wrestler debuting, with blading and torn ACL's and 15 foot bumps this week again? You said they are getting a million, so I can only assume the answer is yes.

Oh wait, they did that last week, didn’t they? So the next one won’t be until next week. My bad.

slik 07-06-2022 04:57 PM

That 3rd hour...no match for fireworks

1.56 million average

Kind of surprised Wimbledon doesn't do bigger numbers

Mr. Nerfect 07-07-2022 04:09 PM

Predictably, AEW is back under 1 million.

#1-norm-fan 07-07-2022 04:33 PM

Haven’t even seen the rating but the fact that Noid didn’t bother to mention it and could only spin it as “back under a million” makes me think it was actually a pretty small drop from Blood and Guts.

Eh, it was on live at 8am, I presume, and averaged over 1 million viewers across a 486 minute window on 4th July.

AEW got fewer viewers than a hot dog eating contest on at 4 in the afternoon.

Mr. Nerfect 07-07-2022 05:50 PM

To be fair to AEW though, the hot dog eating contest was only an hour. Ratings may have dropped if it had gone into the second hour with an extra sauerkraut round.

This isn’t even satire anymore. Next week will be FyterFest. Part 1. In 4 weeks we’ll get Fight for the Fallen. Then it will be All Out. Then it will be Grand Slam. Then it will be an anniversary show. Then it will be Brodie Lee’s memorial show. Then it will be Winter is Coming. Then it will be Bash at the Beach in Winter for Season’s Reasons.

Guy’s even coming back and quoting his own old posts as an excuse to try to bury inconvenient truths. Jesus.

Horrible show this week. They'll be lucky to break 900,000 next week

Was I right guys? I mean I don't remember any of that on Dynamite last night, but I was right, they still got over a million again, right? Guys?

Saw the rating on Twitter just now. I don’t mean to toot my own horn but…

FyterFest should see an increase, because it’s FyterFest. It’ll cancel the drop from the show this week getting worse and worse. FyterFest is looking a bit like it sucks though, so it’ll probably not see an increase week two. The Dynamite after will probably be back down to <900k. Then Fight for the Fallen will get them back over before they’re down again. But they might get Danielson back for a match. It’s all extremely artificial spikes they’re seeing though, which reflects on the product.

Wow #1 again for the night by a wide margin... Great sign!

It was not #1 on the night. It was #1 in terms of ranking by 18-49 for ORIGINAL broadcasting. With a wrestling audience. You don’t think reruns aren’t selling advertising? With goals in mind to market to?

Wasnt the most watched television event ever, demise of AEW confirmed.

942,000 for AEW

Our watchalong tonight will draw higher numbers. I'm expecting around 100 million

#1-norm-fan 07-14-2022 05:32 PM

With the star power arriving to celebrate the one year anniversary of the watch-along tonight, 100 million might be low!

Wait, they lost viewers again? Even with a "Special Edition" Dynamite, they had LESS viewers than they had for last week's normal episode? What the Shit man??? I thought NBA and NHL playoffs were the reason for not getting a million, are those still happening? Game 16 of the NBA Finals took all them viewers huh? Seems plausible that any number of things could be keeping the ratings low, other than Tiny's Booking, which is top notch, Meltzer said so!

#1 on cable again! AND the “They need a special show to draw!” myth is shattered as last week’s regular show drew better numbers!

WOW

YoY was your big thing, (hence the Fan in Shambles) until that free year of not going head to head with NXT was over, THEN it didn't matter anymore, remember? You gotta keep better track of your stances.

Damian Rey 2.0 07-14-2022 07:11 PM

You know what tangible evidence matters? Ticket sales and ppv buyrates, of which AEW does very well in, including a show like forbidden door that had a shit build and got plagued with injuries and talent dropping out due to sickness.

Love or hate AEW, they’re doing well.

WOW

It seems the world champ being the main event is a pretty good way to get the best ratings possible. I thoroughly enjoyed the tag title 3 way and was glad to see a new team win, but your world champ should be main eventing if he’s wrestling that night.

Oh God, I can’t even pretend with you. It literally wasn’t. Some people think you’re a gimmick or a troll. I’m still convinced you’re neither. And that’s not a compliment.

#1-norm-fan 07-14-2022 07:27 PM

I really think you should try a gimmick though.

There’s a titty-honking hole in the soul of TPWW that could use some filling.
