Hate it so much when threads are merged with the 100,000 replies thread. HATE IT.

If people didn't make stupid threads it wouldn't happen. I guess we could just go back to deleting them like they used to before this thread.
|
Or just close them, or just let them be and they will die off on their own accord and be buried by the next round of stupid topics.
I feel I need to get this thread back on course now. http://img52.imageshack.us/img52/7563/thenation2010.jpg THIS HERE IS WHAT WE CALL DOMINATION |

I want Ron Simmons to be inducted into the HoF.
His acceptance speech will consist of him contemplating what to say for 2 minutes, saying "DAMN" and then walking off the stage. |
Been thinking of a recast of Back to the Future with wrestlers... So far I have this:

According to Pwinsider.com, Martha Hart has backed off of previous claims that Vince and Linda McMahon never apologized to her after Owen Hart's death during a WWF PPV event in May 1999. In the latest filing on December 20th, all parties in the ongoing lawsuit between Hart and the Owen Hart Foundation against World Wrestling Entertainment, Vince McMahon and Linda McMahon, all sides requested that Martha Hart's allegations that there was no apology be removed from the lawsuit filing.
According to the paperwork, attorneys representing the McMahons presented the court with "sworn testimony" dated July 2002 of Hart discussing an apology she received from Vince McMahon. This was during a conversation in which Linda McMahon was also present. Hart's side has until January 15th to respond to the most recent statements in the case. Both sides had a settlement negotiation last month, but they were unable to reach terms. In the lawsuit, Hart claims that WWE, "violated their original 2000 Settlement Agreement in the wake of Owen Hart's death, that WWE violated the family's privacy with the release of Owen Hart matches and the "Hart & Soul" DVD documentary, that WWE intimates the Owen Hart Foundation endorses their company with the release of Hart's matches and that the rights to Owen's footage reverted back to his estate upon his death." WWE's response has been that the 2000 Settlement Agreement with Hart, which ended her wrongful death lawsuit over Owen's passing, sealed all future claims against the company. It also claims that Owen's WWF performer contract signed over his likeness and rights for WWF (and later WWE) to reproduce for their purposes. |

Shall we close the forum now? I think all the major topics have been discussed. Can probably have just show/PPV threads and occasional major story. I do believe this is the 4738474838th time the fave tag team topic has come up.

Does Triple H & Cena help or hurt rising stars?
Triple H and Cena are more than likely to be in the main stream of things going into the summer program.
Some can say that their presence will help put over rising young talented stars. They compare what Hogan and others are trying to do in TNA. Will their involvement help or hinder the rise of young stars? How do you feel about it? I personally like seeing mid card wrestlers rise up to Main Event without the help of Cena/Triple H or any other wrestler. I believe that their mere presence overshadows the younger wrestler and prevents them from breaking away. Maybe it's just a few stars that are too over to do any good? |
I'm picturing a Walking Dead-esque mass overload of the forum main page as stranded retards gaze at the screen attempting to work out where the wrestling forum is

So many questions are posted here...
|
Yeah because HHH didn't help at all in making Orton or Batista megastars.
|
And Sheamus to a lesser degree.
|
Triple H spends most of his time making himself look good. That's bad. Cena's current style means people need to make him look good. That's bad.
|

but seriously, that's awesome. Dude makes guys who he considers his legacy or guys he works out with big. Now, to be useful, all we need is for half the locker room to start working out with him or being his buddy. |
The way Cena is booked makes younger guys look bad. Being booked as superman makes it seem like some guys just aren't good enough to ever beat him. The only guy who seemed to consistently beat Cena without it being a fluke was Orton.
HHH on the other hand, has made people look good. Besides Orton, Batista, Sheamus, he also made Rhodes and Dibase look great when they feuded with DX. However, both pale in comparison to Jericho. That man makes everyone look amazing. |
Could it not be said that all the time HHH has spent 'making himself look good' was for the best? I mean if he didn't look so good would he have been able to give Orton and Batista the rub into greatness?
Is the fact that he has made himself look so good in turn going to make future 'superstars' look even better? To me this is the Streak argument again. If someone breaks Takers Mania streak now, they are set, they can ride the crest of that into a long and fulfilling career then into retirement. Could that be said if Taker's streak was broken at 7-0? Would a new superstar get as big a rub from beating say a William Regal with a number undercard Title Reigns or from HHH with Numerous WHC and WWE title reigns under his belt? |
Stop making shit threads.
|
The reason they book Cena they way they do is because he is their number one star. Triple H is almost ten years older than John Cena. You use a superstar who is nearing the end, or at least not the mainstay of the company to get the younger guys over.
Cena is only 33 years old... he's going to be here for a long time. He's not in the position to be "getting the young guys over." Not that he's burying them out of malice or because he is afraid to lose his spot. |

lol at inserting CM Punk chants in the middle of that song. |
I liked the ding dongs and the johnsons. Also Lenny and Lodi were pretty mother clucking bitchin
|
John Cena is still fairly young, therefore he still needs to be huge. He is the Stone Cold of this era and will be around for a very long time. Triple H on the other hand is getting old and needs to start putting people over (Which he has been doing more of to a HHH degree).
|
John Cena is The Rock of this Era. (Peoples Champ, Movie Star, etc.. Still lacks the famous heel role tho)
Randy Orton is Stone Cold of this Era. (DTA, Edgy, Stunner/Rko, Took out the McMahons) |
No more shitty threads by TheAdamEvansFan. At least for a day anyway

John Cena isnt the rock of this generation unless you mean the Rock don muraco. why is that you ax? Bc bofum wore purple and were all about the awesomeness of the MIDDLE TURNBUCKLE.

New Age Outlaws - by far the team I marked out for more than any other. When I think of the Attitude Era, those two are the guys who spring to my mind more than any others. For whatever reason, perhaps the age I was at or the general tone of the product at the time, but they were the perfect team for me. And if you're not down with that...
In a very distant #2 and #3 I guess I'd go with Tully/Arn and the Outsiders. Obvious I was an insane Horseman fan and let's face it, the Outsiders were just plan Too Sweeeeeeet! |
