Oh God. Alberto no showed Impact vs Lucha Underground last night and got fired today, after doing a press conference a few hours before that show.

He was definitely meeting Vince McMahon.

Minoru Suzuki is not coming to WWE and I don't know why you'd want him to. He'd have a couple serious feuds before being made to dance around with Titus Worldwide or something.

I would want to see a one-off match, like the one Liger match. A full time run would likely not be in his best interest, as he's nearly 50.

The thing about Suzuki is that he is an actual heel, and it would open people's hearts and minds as to what a heel can be in 2018 again.

Liger worked because he's one of the most well known Japanese stars of all time, and it was for NXT in front of a smark crowd.

Suzuki is no where near well known enough to pull off an appearance like that on main roster.

Could maybe see something like that on NXT again. I'd be more than happy to see Suzuki vs Black.

Pretty sure Suzuki in NXT is actually a possibility. I want to see him dismantle Johnny Gargano so bad.

Apparently Brock is around 62 days away from breaking CM Punk's record for longest WWE/Universal/World title reign in modern WWE era.

If he makes it to the Raw before Money in the Bank, I think that's where it happens. MITB is in Chicago.

Helps that Brock was barely on tv so his reign didn't get constantly overshadowed by someone else or fell victim to it becoming stale booking-wise.

I like that Brock is breathing some prestige into the Universal Title. They don't really have any wrestlers that have the credibility to step up to him though.

He then asked Brian Last "and that's about what they got, wasn't it?". I just crunched the numbers -- they got about 6 years and 8 months. Not bad.

Brock also isn't losing non-title matches cleanly every time he actually does show up, either. It's either to fight - like street fight/brawl- or to stand there looking imposing while Paul Heyman verbally fellates whatever the upcoming matchup is (except Jinder Mahal)... Funny how that "adds prestige". I used quotes there like I was being sarcastic, but I was actually agreeing with Noid with that point, just so folks are clear. Point is Brock isn't jobbing on a weekly basis, so he gets to look like a credible champ instead of just a clutch one that only wins "when it counts", but gets laid out on the regular otherwise.

It's a winning combination of him not being there every week, his booking, and how Brock carries himself. He's in it to make as much money as possible, so he protects himself and doesn't fuck around with everyone that comes along if he deems them -- right, wrong or otherwise -- unworthy. The most glaring example of that has been Dean Ambrose, although that may have been a directive too (Ambrose was pretty white-hot at the time and they might have wanted to cool him).

And that's why I can understand why he's pissed off when he goes out there for a main event, all eyes are on him, and Vince offers him up a kid playing dress-up in tactical gear that no one gives a fuck about. It would be frustrating as hell when you've felt yourself built up to this thing, and you trust the promoter/head booker to serve you up something that is going to generate buzz, and the universal sentiment is "that fucking sucked and both guys sucked, let's muck around with beach balls."
