Yup, that happened in 1985.

You'll never guess what happened to the broken belt....Tito Santana threw it in the garbage! Can you imagine how much that would be worth!

A.J.K 04-01-2018 07:23 PM

Wasn't there a rumor about that same belt that became the Hardcore title?

Bad News Gertner 04-01-2018 07:28 PM

Yeah but I'm pretty sure the original Hardcore Title was made by a fan?

owenbrown 04-01-2018 07:32 PM

no nevermind, I looked it up it was in 1985

Either that or it was the Winged eagle belt that was smashed by a hammer.

Bad News Gertner 04-01-2018 07:47 PM

It was a battered old WWF title

Honestly would be fine watching every PPV without commentary.

That was the moment Backlund jumped the shark. He came off as such a pansy.

Bad News Gertner 04-01-2018 09:29 PM

Lol Jose Luis Rivera (Conquistador Uno) just posted a video on his facebook that I sent him.

Emperor Smeat 04-01-2018 09:58 PM

Based on ticket sales so far, seems the most popular non-WWE/NXT show for Mania week is Joey Janela's Spring Break 2.

Last set of numbers had it ahead of PROGRESS' Friday event for the top spot by 85 tickets. Both sold over 1k tickets so far and then a huge drop off for 3rd place on the list.

It's my favourite year.

I look for Dick and Kal stuff because they are fucking hilarious

I got bored with current wrestling so I decided to go back and see how we got to this point. I find a lot of the stuff pre Backlund title win to be pretty dull for the most part, so I use 78 as my start point. There's a lot of cool stuff to go through. I haven't gone back to current wrestling since. Been about 3 years now. Most of my stuff is original footage with original commercials lol

Everything you just mentioned is some of my earliest memories of wrestling period, outside of my brother putting me on to NWA stuff (mainly Flair/ Horsemen) a bit later, and my mom being a huge fan of Dusty.

Check put Rassel Reel's youtube channel. He has most of the 1984 t.v

For some reason it wasn't on the list I saw for ticket sales. Guess whoever compiled the list excluded it because of them and WWE having special status for Mania week.

Just found it really interesting Janela managed to generate one of the hottest shows for the week.

As horrible as WWE's booking toward Asuka vs Charlotte has been, Charlotte ending the streak COULD be good for the long term. Especially if they were to actually keep Charlotte strong and keep Asuka looking like the only one who can beat her is Charlotte. Just a random thought I had and decided to share with TPWW.

Big Vic 04-02-2018 08:40 AM

I think they are heading towards Asuka vs Ronda next year.

Can't wait for those promos.

Jordan 04-02-2018 10:05 AM

I think the big picture booking for the womens divison is going to look like this...
  • WM - Auska wins, Ronda Wins, Charlotte loses
  • Charlotte Flair is shook to Raw.
  • Summerslam - Ronda/Stephanie 1 on 1, Charlotte wins the Raw Championship.
  • Big Stadium Event in Australia on WWE Network headlined by Charlotte vs Ronda for the Raw Title.
  • November - Auska gets injured and has to relinquish the championship undefeated.
  • Auska returns and wins the 2nd ever Women's Rumble and faces Ronda in the main event of WM 35

Cool King 04-02-2018 11:37 AM

• Ronda wins

Mr. Pierre 04-02-2018 12:26 PM

I think they wanna set up Rousey vs Charlotte to main event WM 35

slik 04-02-2018 01:30 PM

Possible Charlotte entrance spoiler for WM34

SPOILER: show

Charlotte's entrance gear for WM34 is a take on HHH's entrance gear from WMXXX, per twitter

Anybody Thrilla 04-02-2018 01:51 PM

I haven't been this excited about a Wrestlemania in a very long time.

Also, I was chatting with a buddy on Facebook, and "Doink" was auto-corrected to "Doing", and I've been laughing for like 36 minutes.

Danny Electric 04-02-2018 03:02 PM

Now that Fish's injury has been officials confirmed , what are the chances of Roddy Strong turning on Dunne at NXT Takeover to join the Undisputed Era. Or is there anyone else ex ROH they could get to join them as from what I've heard he will be out for a while.

Anybody Thrilla 04-02-2018 03:06 PM

I think that would be cool. Roddy is a great babyface, though.

Mike Kanilles would be a great choice in my opinion. Strong not a bad choice though.

Wouldn't really need to go after new ROH guys since they do have Donovan Dijak waiting in the wings at NXT.

If they want Undisputed Era to continue being an ex-ROH stable, they could put him in it as Fish's filler for the time being.

Simple Fan 04-02-2018 04:23 PM

Wouldn't really call Dijak a ROH guy though. Was only there for maybe a year and barley did anything. Had it not been for his time with the Hose of Truth his run with them would be totally forgettable. Aside from his finisher nothing really sticks out about the guy.

Cool King 04-02-2018 04:25 PM

Fun fact I've just discovered: If you search for "The Godfather Theme" on YouTube, the 100th video is The Godfather's (The Wrestler) theme.

The 99 videos before it are videos of The Godfather (The Film) theme.

Anyone else see Cena's instagram post? An American Badass shirt.

Hmmmm....

Jordan 04-02-2018 05:16 PM

Well I'm fine with Big Show sticking around as long as he wants. It's really all about the booking. Should be the easiest guy to book in the history of the business. They can always restart the Big Show push if they want to. He's a great challenger when he goes on a rampage for a while. I'd be cool if they used Big Show on TV the same way they use Brock. He comes around every so often, rarely loses, and is a star destroyer.

Jordan 04-02-2018 05:19 PM

OH man that would be my gimmick if I were a wrestler. The Star Destoryer, and I'd use the Imperial March as my theme. Do some Jediesque moves, including the force. Maybe I'd take over in DDT then conquer the states and become ROH Champ, everyone would say I'm too old for NXT by that point, hell I'll be close to 40 but those worries will quelled when I get the main spot against Roman in his last WM, they gotta have a new guy and I lied about my age on my papers.

I like Dijak, personally. Very athletic for his size.

Anybody Thrilla 04-02-2018 07:19 PM

Also, I WOULD call him an ROH guy, considering I have seen him literally nowhere else.

Bad News Gertner 04-02-2018 08:57 PM

Dijak has a ton of potential.
