Rather than make it a two day show why not just stop trying to plug every worker you can think of into a match? 10 solid matches is enough, anything else is too much.

Yeah definitely this! Wrestlemania used to be the "showcase of the immortals". The best of the best. Now it's all about cramming everybody into the show, even if it means cramming them into filler matches that nobody cares about.

I mean when it started it was just as much about cramming everyone onto the show. Lots of stupid matches.

I have three weeks of television plus a Spectrum House Show in Philly where Iron Shiek defends the WWF Title against Tito Santana. Only footage of Shiek defending the title.

Everything involving stan hansen on njworld is fantastic. I think thats inoki there getting decapitated. Those are classics.

I was watching him on All Stars of Wrestling, sometime in the late 70's... man even then, he stood out as a guy way ahead of the curve of everyone there.

Just watched Hansen vs Hogan from 1990 again. Easily my favourite Hogan match. Mind you, Hogan was fucking awesome in that match.

Hogan was just smart in knowing when he had to bring it. The WWF crowds were fine for him to rip a shirt, take some bumps, hulk up, big boot and legdrop. In Japan, Hogan knew he had to work to get a reaction and he was more than competent in doing so. If he wrestled his Japan style all the time, he probably wouldn't have had such a long career... At least in ring.

I'm inclined to agree, but at the same time, Stan Hansen had a hell of a long career working that style.
