According to a recent episode of Observer Radio, WWE is currently planning for the New Day to have at least 5 segments as hosts of Mania.

Also according to the Observer, there were plans for Eva Marie to be included in the Smackdown's women's title match but now those are in doubt. Suppossedly she's done with the company and this Mania might be her final match assuming the WWE decides to include her.

Enjoy them (New Day) while you can.

I'm thinking this year's "The Rock With A Flamethrower" moment will be Hulk Hogan showing up for a skit with New Day.

According to the WWE, pre-show currently planned to have 3 matches. Cruiser title match, Andre Battle Royal, and Smackdown's women's title match.

USA Network also hosting the 2nd hour of the pre-show which is set to have the Andre Battle Royal match.

Smackdown's women title match got promoted to the main card according to recent updates by the WWE.

Whilst I'm happy for them, I chuckled imagining that it was only done when somebody informed Vince that Naomi's entrance wouldn't work until it's dark out.

Could be over 2 million people watching Mania, so hard to say. My guess is USA won't get that many viewers.

#1-norm-fan 03-31-2017 02:23 PM

lol Yes, Seph. More people will watch the pre-show.

Simple Fan 03-31-2017 03:08 PM

Pre show has 2 of the 5 matches I want to see so I'll only have to watch 3 matches on the Network. Is Corbin/Ambrose a regular match or does it have a gimmick involved? If so might want to see that one as well.

Plan is no gimmick because it won't be the last match between the two. Plan is to have these two married to one other post Mania. Likely blown off with some type of gimmick match at a future SD PPV. Of course, plans change all the time.

Emperor Smeat 03-31-2017 04:54 PM

According to the Observer, WWE started to poll fans during Axxess yesterday to get an feel of which Mania matches had the most hype and might be using it to determine the final card order of the event.

Taker vs Reigns had the most right now and likely the big favorite to be the real main event for Mania.

Emperor Smeat 04-01-2017 05:26 PM

According to the Observer Radio, WWE has been dealing with some timing issues in regards to filling up the time set for Mania. Ended up being the main reason why Smackdown's women's title match got promoted to the main card and not because of the fans petitioning on social media.

"I'm very excited to because I've been doing a lot of cosplaying, and I have a little bit of something that I'm doing for WrestleMania, another character that I'm trying to, you know, put my spin on and portray. I think it's gonna be a lot of fun, and hopefully it's noticed."
Going to bet on Supergirl, but hoping it's Cindy from FFXV

#BROKEN Hasney 04-01-2017 05:40 PM

On another forum, someone mentioned Breath of the Wild Zelda. I would be so down for that.

I'd laugh if its the wrestling costume set from the game.

#BROKEN Hasney 04-01-2017 06:00 PM

No dammit, the actual Zelda.

Emperor Smeat 04-01-2017 06:05 PM

So Alexa cosplaying as Zelda cosplaying as a wrestler from the game :shifty:

NXT's Killian Dain was announced to be a participant for tomorrow's Andre Battle Royal match.

That's...odd.

Guessing it's because he's Irish and just like Tian Bing they want to have different nations represented.

Emperor Smeat 04-02-2017 12:06 AM

Probably just wanted more big men in so they can make Braun's strength look more impressive if he eliminates him or whoever in general as well.

#1-norm-fan 04-02-2017 12:49 AM

I don't think Braun is gonna win the battle royal.

Whenever there's a multi-man match like this and there's an obvious winner, WWE likes to go with a surprise for the sake of there being a surprise. They do it with every Royal Rumble of the brand split era(s). They do it with most multi-man ladder matches. Braun is such the clear choice to win I have a feeling they're gonna do a swerve of some sort.

Emperor Smeat 04-02-2017 12:54 AM

If Braun wins, they pretty much would be on an "every other year" for obvious winners.

Ceasro had the big surprise win for 2015, Big Show won as the big favorite in 2015, Corbin was a semi-surprise for 2016, and right now Braun is the big favorite for 2017.

#1-norm-fan 04-02-2017 12:58 AM

Was Big Show actually a favorite in 2015? I remember thinking of him as the token big guy who was in there because he's got a name/size but really he's just a big fat jobber. Felt like him winning was kinda strange. Also because it seemed like the battle royal was meant as a stepping stone for a guy to get over so a Big Show win didn't make sense at all.

Ryback seemed like the big favorite.

Ruien 04-02-2017 12:59 AM

The match was made for him to win imo. Never had a doubt he was winning the first one.

#1-norm-fan 04-02-2017 01:02 AM

Cesaro won the first one though. Which, even though they failed to follow up, made it seem like they were gonna just use it as a stepping stone for "future stars". Never took Big Show as a serious contender for the second one mainly because of that.

#1-norm-fan 04-02-2017 01:05 AM

I also remember thinking Ryback made so much sense with how they were pushing him going in though that they would not do it simply for that reason. Kinda how I feel about Braun this year.

#1-norm-fan 04-02-2017 01:06 AM

I can kinda see Mark Henry winning it as a pat on the back.

Yeup. Was the big favorite for 2014 and 2015 since they pretty much repeated the same storyline about it being Big Show's match to lose for both years. Its why 2014 felt like a big upset and 2015 felt like WWE just honoring Big Show's career as the "Andre" of his gen.

2016 had the rise of Braun so it wasn't just Big Show as the clear favorite and the Shaq stuff was meant to move Show out of the match for 2017. Also had a chance of not happening because of Papa Shango's Curse wrecking the roster at the time.
